I would ask the breeder to call those people and explain the error! Why not, you have nothing to lose. Shame on that breeder for not doing this on her own knowing that pup was already promised. Just because a mistake was made dosen't mean it can't be corrected! |

I agree - ask the breeder to call the people and explain the error. Was he the last puppy? maybe they would exchange him for a different one. Then I'm gonna go kick her butt!!! |
Thats terrible I am sooooo sorry. Ive been in your exact spot. I found a woman and put down a deposit on a Pekingese and we both agreed I'd be back next week to pick her up as I was right in the middle of moving and I didnt want to bring her in on all the chaos. Anyway I get a call about 3 nights later (I'm sorry Rachel I know you wanted Maggie but someone came and offered me more money and could take her now) I was devistated and heartbroken I had spent all week dreaming and preparing for my baby. And she took the money even though I had put down a deposit. I went to her house in absolute tears the next day to get my deposit back. When out walks her 2 year old daughter holding Brigette (then called momma dog) around the neck dangling. I said "Is she avalible?" they said yes but she was more money. Even though I knew I should have just taken my money and left that dreaded house I saw the look of terror in her eyes. When the kid dropped her (yes dropped) she squealed and ran and hid in the back room under the bed. I HAD to save her. I never even considered a Yorkie before. I took her home and she was the sweetest little thing on 4 legs. She weighed 2.5 lbs skin and bones (the woman had ONE bowl of food for her like 20 dogs) Bridgette never got food. She'd have to fight to eat, and a 2.5 lb dog fighting all the others YEAH right! She was matted STINKY and the woman had just bought her about 2 months prior from someone else and had NO records of her except AKC (of course) how else would she have made money on her  She said she had had her so long because no one wanted to pay the $1000 she was asking for an older skinny matted dog. But I saw her true beauty and offered her $800 and took her THAT day. I soon discovered she LOVES people a little shy around my daughter at first but once she realized my daughter would not be allowed to treat her like that they became fast friends. We had all her vaccines done, had her teeth cleaned, went to the groomer and since then she has put on weight now she's a chunky 6 lbs healthy and happy. And who knows what hands she would have ended up in if I hadnt come along and rescued her. Anyone that had money. My reason for sharing my story is everything will work out. I do believe in fate and that everything happen for a reason. He was probably not right for you. You will find your baby. He's out there somewhere. Don't give up hope. If I we're you I would look into either rescues or responsible breeders with older puppies as once you have a deposit down the dog is yours unless you change your mind. Good Luck and dont get dicouraged. Keep In Mind EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON! :aimeeyork |

StaceyDee, I'm sure you are heartbroken and that was an awful thing that they did to you. I hope something special happens to you - like the yorkie love of your life coming along. Don't give up. |
I am sure that you will find your lil guy soon. I can not imagine that heartbreak when you were so ready for him. The perfect one will come along when you least expect it.:D |

I wish you all the luck in finding the right one! |
That is sad! But maybe it was meant for the best because you had not found your perfect match and your baby is still out there waiting for you! :) |
I was shocked and disappointed as I read your story. Heartbreaking is right. Surely there are some good breeders near your city that have yorkie puppies. I'll be praying that you find just the perfect one. I'll be thinking about this story all day. I'm supposed to pick up my "boy" on Monday. I can tell you I've thought many times about something happening before then to the puppy or the puppies getting mixed, funny what your head does to you at times... Best wishes to you. I hope you will soon have your "baby" and be posting here to brag. |

I believe your perfect dog is in a rescue/shelter go visit some i know in my heart you will come around the corner look into a cage and find your baby your heart will become a pool and you will not be able to imagin your like from this moment on withut this animal whatever brred it may be. I have a rescued cat and ive NEVER in my life among hundreds of animals ive own felt that bond and absolute devotion you get from a rescue animal they KNOW without a doubt that you saved them...that feeling is worth a million dollars |

Thank you so much and see had I got the Pekingese I would have never gotten Bridgette I would have never known the love of a Yorkie and I would have never gotten her out of there. Who knows she could have been sold to a puppy mill where she would have been bred repeatdly. That lady wouldnt have cared, it was all about the money. You'll find your boy, I believe a gaurdian angel was looking out for you. How do you know you wouldnt get him home and hes be aggressive or fearful or maybe not even have any problems but just not matched your family. Keep looking when you find the right one you will know. Also I would NOT tell them to call the people they sold it to. They probably had no idea you were waiting for him. Can you imagine getting a new baby and you get a call for the breeders that said "do you think you could bring the dog back we promised him to someone else before you." That would break their hearts too. I'd just say avoid these people find a local Yorkie rescue or older puppy from a better breeder. And buy/rescue him straight away so you can be certain he'll be yours. Good Luck and keep us updated! |
