Puppy Shopping!?!?! Please watch this first!!
 

very sad to watch this!

It's so sad. The first time I saw something like this was when I was puppy shopping and it's what got me researching every little thing. It breaks my heart that people are so freakin' greedy. This kinda thing makes me cry :(

Oh, that's just disgusting. Stuff like this makes me ashamed to be a human...

The problem I have is that so many people don't think that their breeder is a puppy mill breeder. They say, they talked to the person on the phone, and they were such a nice person. Nobody knowing buys from a puppy mill, but we allow ourselves to be fooled by cute websites and seemingly nice people. Please send the message to not buy a dog without visiting the premises personally. If everyone would do this, puppy mills would go out of business, and we wouldn't have to make a million new laws.

I remember the first time I saw Oprah's special on puppy mills. It broke my heart and really opened up my eyes.

You know, I can't help but wonder if the song "How Much Is That Doggy In The Window" has brainwashed us with some romantic notion and blinded us to the reality of this horrible practice. I can't imagine any sane person ever thinking of pet store puppies the same way after seeing these images.

Oh, great....now I've got these sick images and that bouncy little tune in my head.....grrrrrrrr

My nieces dog Rosey a bishon/cocker mix was a rescue from a pet store I visited all the time. One day I walked in and walked past the cages like usual got down to the end of the line and paused...Going back I reread what I thought I had seen the first time around...This dog is free... hmmm ??????? Inspecting her card better I saw the reason she was free
the card said she was purchased and returned by her owner because she was found to be deaf....Well it just so happens that I teach all my dogs American sign lang. and hand comands for everything they do having lost our beloved terrier Baby how could carry out 50 plus commands with no sound from me I thought hey I can totally be this dogs lifeline so I walked up to the sales lady and said Ide like that deaf dog please. Well after drooling ALL OVER my leg and boy do I mean all over on the car ride home low and behold if my new dogs deaf im the freaking queen of england they GAVE ME a dog they had sold for 900 dollars for free cause she was deaf!!!!! After her vet check ( Totally perfect health ) she came home for good. Roseys 2 now and the light of my nieces life but that dog and I will always have a special connection she knows I loved her even when she was " deaf " ...Sorry for rambling but I just wanted to prove how STUPID pet stores are when it comes to dogs

thank you for the story that was beautiful! i'm amazed at how little pet stores care about the puppies they put in the windows. they fake it in front of customers, but i wouldn't be surprised at how they treated them during the off hours :(
