About feeding fruit I was just wondering if anyone can tell me if there is any fruit i should not feed my dog. He is almost 5 months old. Thanks |
apples are good.... (without the skin) i have given toby a grape to play with (again without the skin) ..... it is important not to feed them too much fruit because they can get loose stools easily from it |
Hi, i feed mitzy and molly pears and apples (without the skin) Be careful with grapes and raisons as they contain toxins that can seriously harm our babies! There is a thread somewhere of toxic foods.....if you cant find it, pm me and il send it to you Tina xx |
have found this......hope its some use! http://www.petalia.com.au/Templates/...ry_no=257#ct-7 Tina x |
Yeah seconded with the grapes - some toxins can be bad for dogs, even though I know they love to play with grapes!! |
lol........ actually ive only given him apples, the grape was something he aquired on his own..... dunno who skineed it for him..... i leave for two minuits and LOOK WHAT HAPPENS......!!!!!!!! lol...... oh well good to know, thanks for the warning |
Oh yes Bubbles acquired his on his own too! He ate them and nothing bad happened but you know, onec I heard that they may be bad for him I was just extra careful. Shame because watching him bounce the grape used to make me laugh. |
Thank you all so much for giving me that advice. I was aware of grapes and raisins but was not sure of other fruit. I wanted to feed my dog some pear and peaches today, but wanted to make sure it was ok first.I will most definately look at those links posted, because i wanna put a good site in my favorites so i have easy access to it. I wanna make sure i don't harm my baby!!! Once again, thank you all so much!!! |
Hi, i give Chelsey plain "no fat" yoghurt mix a teaspoon of purified baby fruit at around 8:30pm so that her tummy isnt to empty for the night and she loves it... |
Citric fruits are not good fot our babies...and like it was said, it should be offered as a treat and not as a part of the meal. You can try baby carrots, they love it!!! |
