OMG this puppy is insanely whiny and clingy...HELP I'm puppy sitting a 7 week old yorkiepoo today... He is cute and cuddly but sooo whiny... It is constant...And if you put him down he screams... If he loses sight of you...omg...all hell breaks loose! Anything I can do to help ease his anxiety?? |
If I were you I would carry him around constantly. He misses his litter mates and Mom. He's a tiny baby. I would expect nothing different. Good luck, |
I put a back heating pad plugged in... under a big soft mink style blanket and stuck him in a pocket inside.. It is cozy and warm, He finally fell asleep... YAY!!!! Wonder how long that will last lol And what to do next... |

That sounds soooooo cozy. How could he not fall asleep. He may think he's back with his momma. He's so tiny. |
awww, poor baby. he's probably so scared and afraid of being abandoned. :( I'd have to just carry that poor baby everywhere. Shoot I do that now with my 2 and they are 5 lbs and much older! lol |
The lady who owns him can't leave him alone while she works because of this... If he whines, screams, cries all day while she is at work then the condo board will kick her out... So I am trying not to foster the behaviour...if I carry him too much he will just cry more when put down won't he? |

I did this with my 2 and they are pretty good with me leavng now. I have come back into the room within seconds and they've run off and been playing across the room by the time I came back in. lol Just remember though, he is young and has been thru quite a lot in his young life already. Just make sure that he knows you are there for him to snuggle and cuddle with. :) |
He is still such a baby that I think I would pack him too. When I first got Mad she was clingy and I packed her around in a sling carrier that had a soft minky blanket in it (she was already 4+ months) but it didn't make her worse, then I would slowly leave her a bit at a time. She is a happy, confident adult and it didn't make her any worse to baby her when she was adjusting. |
It sounds like you have your hands full. I am not full of advice on this one I just wish you luck. |
Since he is just 7 wks old, I would expect nothing short of this behavior. It will take time. Yes. Carrying him around constantly would make the behavior worse. You're an angel for helping that lady.:p |
Poor baby....Your doing the right thing and all I can say is good luck! Does the baby have toys to play with? I'll bet he is just chilled and missing littermates. |
Soo I am getting him for the whole week it seems... He was so cute, But man can he peel the paint off the walls with that squeal of his!! |

Poor little fella, not only has he been taken from his mum but also his new mum. No wonder he cries. Hope you can find something to help him. Hugs Shirl x x |
