ok and iam sorry too if ive upset any of yous maybe it is better letting a pup stay longer with the mother but in some cases the mother will turn on the pup because she doesnt want them to suckle no more. some breeders over here will pay for the puppies shots, wormer and flee treatment so the pup wont leave till they are 10 weeks but they are more expensive puppies a lot more expensive by. a puppies shots over here cost £50 thats included your wormer and flee treament but when the breeders do it they add about £200 to £300 onto the price which i feel is a bit of a rip off. when i took bella at 7 weeks if i felt when i got her home there was any problems then yes i would be straight back to the breeder and let her spend another 2 weeks with her mum but she was fine better than expected. anyway iam glad there are people like you that do want the best for the puppy because ive heard some horror cases of pups going as early as 4 weeks and the owners are having to give the pups milk this i find is well out of line and i would never dream of doing this. anyway hope your all having a good day too :D |

I know everyone is entitled to their beliefs and opinion and I don't know if any reputable breeder would let a puppy go so young. My opinion is that they are not bettering the breed and money is their motive, since they are ready to get rid of the puppies once mom stops nursing them. And of course that saves them money on the vet checks and vaccines. I myself didn't know any better when I got my 1st pet. She was toy poodle, my ex bought her from a pet store. She was a good example of a puppy mill pup. Never been on carpet or anything that she was afraid of it when i bought her home that she scared me...she would run in circles around me screaming on top of her lungs. Then a month later I purchased me a male maltese. And still didn't know much about puppy mills and everything i learn from 10 years ago till now. I bought him home at 6 weeks. I guess I was lucky with him because he was a laid back fella and he barely had any teeth so feeding him was hard until his teeth came in. |

I live in the uk and every breeder I rang (as Im looking for another pup) will NOT let that pup leave before 12 weeks. Tia was 13 weeks when I got her and she had one of her shots. I agree that with other breeds meaning bigger ones do go around 6-8 weeks , my collie was 6 weeks however this breed and some others are more delicate. Perhaps up north is different to down south maybe. |
i got my pup from the news paper loot but online and i saw lots of ads up south all going at 8 weeks one person i spoke to said she used to let them go at 12 weeks but was finding it hard to find homes because people dont want a puppy that old and will go for the ones going at 8 weeks. and at 13 weeks your pup should of had both shots and would of been allowed to go out so cant understand why the breeder only gave your pup one  |
