| GaMom06 | 02-26-2010 11:17 AM | Not the Best Scenario But Proud Anyway! So this was not an ideal situation but I was totally impressed by my little guy. Our doggies stay in their crates while we are not home. We are usually always home to take them out between 5 and 6pm Well last Friday night we had gone out to dinner after work figuring we would still be home by our 6pm time because of the earlier time we got off. Well dinner got delayed, the place was horribly crowded and we left way later to head home than we anticipated. Well wouldn't you know on the way home we got stuck in a traffic due to a horrible accident that occured at the end of the road we live on and the main road. There is no other way to get to our house but sit through the mess. They had completely shut down the road. It took us over an hour and a half for them to reopen the road. We did not get home until almost 9pm!
I had told hubby in the car that I expected a mess in Rustys crate because i knew he could not hold it as long as Stedman could because he is a much smaller dog. I walked in the house and he was sooo happy to see us! I opened his crate and much to my surprise there was NO MESS!! He flew out the door to do his business which you could tell was much relief.
I felt so bad for him that we got stuck and could not let him out on time but I was so proud of him for managing to hold it! Hope this doesn't make me a bad Yorkie Mom! |
