To skype or not to skype? Have any of you ever used a video camera to 'spy' on your babies? :2photo: I have tried for ever (and ever and ever), to set up the computer so that I can monitor Pepper whilst I am at work. But now, that the setup is finally completed and all ready to go, I am not sure that I really want to know what he is doing during the day. What if he looks really miserable? So far, I have been assuming that he just does the doggy thing, and sleeps all day. Any thoughts (apart from telling me to stop worrying about my baby!)?? |
Okay, crazy dog lady confession coming, :p The first time I left Chloe and Armani alone together, I set up Skype and my mother "babysat" from her house... she also took snapshots so she could show me what they were doing while I was gone, :D |
I like that! Are you still 'acting crazy' (monitoring babies)??:jester3: |

I wish I could but I only have a laptop and I really need to take it with me, I just really wanted to see how they would do together the first time. If I had a home computer though I probably would still be doing it. |
I think I would rather know if he's miserable. But I bet he sleeps. Everytime we come home, Snoopy greets us and then has to do the stretch, which means he's been sleeping. |
I do want to know, and I don't want to know... What would I actually do, if he wasn't happy? That is the other worry. Got to go to work, after all. But I think, he will probably be o.k. :animal36 snoozing , and saving his energy for when mum is coming home. :animal37 |
Isn't that a violation of his civil rights to be secretly video'd without his permission? (*jk*) :-) |
Okay I will admit I have watched my dog on a video camera. When Sophie Kate first started going to daycare one of them had a video monitoring service so owners could check in on their dogs. I checked in on her Day One and I noticed none of the other dogs were playing with her. Day two, I checked again and there was poor old Sophie Kate playing by herself and those other stuck up dogs ignoring her (think middle school and cool girls in the hall walking right by you and not even acknowledging you). Needless to say I was neurotic, Sophie Kate did not go back for Day Three. I found her a new day care with dogs that would play her (regardless of the fact its a 120 lb Bull Mastiff). Now I sit back and laugh about it but at the time I had only had Sophie Kate for 5 months and was just back to work. |
Mmm... Well....might have to try skype too...lol. |
