And the countdown begins Okay, so my little boy will be ready this Friday :happyboun...wooohooo!!! However, I'm a nervous wreck!!! I think I've got all his things together and ready (I think!!). My mom will be taking care of him while I'm at work during the day. My biggest fear is that he bonds with her and not me!!!!:eyebrow2: I have to be at work at 07:00 and I will be home for lunch at 13:00 then back home at 16:00 from Monday to Thursday and Friday's I'm home at 14:00. Do you think he'll forget me???? :questione I'm SO nervous!! I've never had a puppy before so this is a BIG step for my boyfriend and I. We've puppy-proofed the apartment and even built him his own den with plenty of toys and so on where he'll spend most of his time. My mom will only be there for the first 2 - 3 weeks with him as he'll only be 7 weeks on Friday (I know, it's a bit young but the breeder said he's healthy and eating very well). So, does anyone have any general tips or pointers for us???? I would really appreciate it!!!!:thankyou2 |
Wow!! How exciting for you and your boyfriend!!! Your puppy will bond with you and know that you are his mama, he won't forget you while you are at work. But you could leave a sweatshirt or pajamas with your smell on it in his bed while you are at work so that he still smells you. He will sleep alot all through out the day especially since he is pretty young. Good Luck and best wishes with your little man!! |
Thanks for that! Will definitely do that! |
He'll bond with you if you take care of him the rest of the time. Congratulations! Be sure and keep all electrical wires up and away from him so he can't chew on them.:) |
How exciting! I am sure you will be a great Mommy! We get our little Knox this weekend also...and I too am a nervous wreck  |
Thanks all. I'm still so nervous. I'm even having sleepless nights!! Hahaha! Just wish it was Friday already!!!!! |
