Hi Trish, Welcome! My name is Pam. I'm sorry about your baby...we lost our first Yorkie to kidney failure in January. We got Fagan in July. Hang in there. You will find another baby, he won't replace your 1st, but will fill the hole in your heart...

Hello and Welcome Im Debbie Mommy to Mickey and Minnie. Your story was so sad. I have one almost the same. They break are hearts when we lose them. I hope you find the perfect puppie.

Hello welcome to YT! I don't post much but wanted to let you know that I am from Houma! I am living in North Carolina right now because my husband is in the military. I know exactly what you mean about not being able to find many yorkies in the area. My mom lives in Thibodaux and has 2 male yorkies and was looking for one for me. I was having trouble finding one here. I am sure when she sees this she may be able to help you find something. Her 2 and my 1 all came from the same breeder in MS. I wish you luck in your search! In the mean time have fun here on Yorkie Talk!!

Thanks for all the nice replies. I am really looking for a female Yorkie puppy. My family and I always perferred female dogs. We had a female mixed chihua (sp) before Lacey. (Mitzi) She lived to be 17 years old and we also had her since she was a puppy. We got Lacey about 6 months after Mitzi died. I would have to find a Yorkie somewhere around the Houma or Thibodaux area. With my crazy work schedule, it would have to be around my local area. I would perfer to find a Yorkie puppy around 3 months old or so. Something I can raise from that young and can name it myself. I already have a name picked out Chloe Cheyenne. Unless I change my mind or she does not look like a Chloe when I get her! I named Lacey only a few hours after I got her. I named her Lacey because as soon as I sat her on the floor she was trying to undo my laces on my shoes. I gave her 2 middle names Azalia Francais. Trying to make her sound cajun. LOL. We had papers on her, but we never did breed her. Had her spayed. We were scared to breed her because she was so small. Her weight only reached 4 pounds at her heaviest.

I can tell that your little girl brought so much joy and love and LAUGHTER into your family! She sounds like such a funny character :) . I love all her little antics to get attention. It will take a long time to heal, but you must remember that she is not suffering any more. Lenora posted a number above my post....I know it is a male, but it does sound like it could really work out for you. It is hard to find a Yorkie for less than $850. It can be done though if you are not interested in the boy Lenora posted....though he does need a loving home and obviously you have one. You'll know when it is right for you. Remember though, your girl was older and knew EVERYTHING....your new pup won't. That part is pretty hard.....trying not to compare. My heart goes out to you, I know you are suffering and I am sure that the rest of your family is too.
