scooting after going potty Abbey has begun "scooting" doesnt look like she's in pain? i'VE READ WHERE ANAL GLANDS are probably full..has anyone taken their dog for this procedure? |
A Vet or groomer can show you how to do this or do it for you. When my dog scoots he usually has some poop still on his rear hair and I know it is time to trim his rear again. |
Yes, anal glands may be the problem. The only time all three of my dogs scooted was when they had tapeworms. Have you checked her stool lately? Also like zekie's mom said, she may have some fecal matter stuck to her fur. |
Joey scooted as a puppy, and the vet said that some puppies don't push hard enough when they poop to empty their glands and the liquid builds up, it's a very simple procedure, but it should be done correctly or you can push the contents further back and this can lead to impaction. |
scooting Ive been holding warm clothes to that area. Its red and little swollen..am taking her to Vet tomor. Thanks everyone!:animal-pa |
