My Heartfelt sympathy to you Cherie.. I lost my sweet baby in November 2009. I had her for almost 15 years. She was and will always be my heart and soul.. You now have your very own Guardian Angel watching over you. Time will heal your heart and you will once again one day smile. I, personally can't seem to get a Grip over my loss but I know and can feel she is watching over me.. She has shown me many signs just recently that she is still and will always be with me. I'm so sorry to heard of your lost. We had a shih tzu that was 16 1/2 years old before we put her done.

Cherie, so sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my korki three years ago. She
was 13. We had to say goodbye.
Very hard decision but it was the best one for her.
I know your heart is heavy now, in time, you will find peace.

Thank you all so much for the wonderful words you have sent. I keep thinking about how she looked (totally out of it) when the vet gave her the shot. Now my husband who she loved the most is saying that all the pills and shots they have her trying to save her cost her her life. I don't argue with him about that because he is suffering so much. I heard him crying last night for a long time. It's hard to see all the things she had - a stroller, car booster seat, toys. I know it has only been 24 hours but it is so painful. I don't want to go through this again. It hurts too much.

I think she did lead you here. Here you can share all your memories and your sadness and writing it all down will help you heal. It's nice to have a place where you know others know exactly how you feel about your baby. You and your husband obviously loved her so much. I am so sorry. xox

I am very sorry for your loss. Anyone that has had a pet pass feels the pain you are now going thru. I remember the feelings I have had for every pet over the past many years, but time will heal, and someday you will find another little pup to bring joy back to you. Not a replacement, just a new member of the family.

Cherie Im so sorry for your loss...I know its so painful and difficult, no matter how long they live...its never enough :( we lost our little girl at 16 years and its so hard but each day will get a little easier and one day you will be able to look at her pictures and smile.

I want to also give (((((((hugs to Cherie))))) for her awful loss and say this to her.. GIVE YOURSELF TIME TO CRY AND SCREAM, it's OK.. I also said to myself over and over again I do not want another.. I do NOT want to go thru this horrible pain ever again.. But I know in my heart when the TIME is right another puppy will come to me one day and I will love & care for her like I did for my Corki.. She will not be a replacement. She will be, as you've all said.. a new family member.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
