If he is eating good .and every thing should i still be worried. Thanks yall |
What did the vet say? The vet will probably be able to tell by the milk teeth. |
He looks like he's 6 weeks. So tiny. I could be wrong though. My babies are a little fluffier at 8 weeks. But what in the h??? Is your breeder doing letting you take home a 8 week old puppy anyways?!!!! That's just too young. Most pups on here that are sold or bought are 12 weeks or older. Some breeders like to post pics of babies at different ages though. You should have asked your breeder to keep your baby till it was 12 weeks. There's so much your babies missing out on being taken away at such a young age. By the way your baby is darling! ;) |

This puppy looks younger than 8 weeks of age. So, now you have to make sure that you give him the best start that you can. Make sure he eats a minimum of 4 meals a day, with one late at night, before bed. Make sure you get to a Pet Store and buy some NutriCal. This is for the aid and prevention of hyperglycemia. Get on the internet and google it....keep on the lookout for any signs. At this young age he should be fed Gerber's rice cereal, mixed with Goats Milk and equal parts of distilled water, in a week or so you can start to add a good quality small bite puppy kibble and as he grows and can chew readily, you'll omitt the the cereal and goats milk. This breeder is a horrible breeder......letting a pup go this young and giving you a song and dance about AKC papers. If she didn't want him to be used for breeding all she had to do was darken a little box on the AKC papers. That wouldn't have prevented you from doing so, but if you did, his pups couldn't be registered. Hog Wash......$200.00. If a dog is being sold as breeding dog, it would probably be for $1,000.00, but it shouldn't be sold to just anyone. Good Luck and we're here to help if you need it. |
Not an expert here by any means however I have read a TON on here LOL. It seems like a lot of BYB or puppy mill people sell pups younger as they seem smaller to the public so they think they will stay that small. As in telling you he is 8 weeks and 1 lb when he may really be 6 weeks and 1 lb. *disclaimer* I do not know how big your dog is btw, just using an example ;) |
OMG, it brakes my heart everytime I see a pup that young taken from their mama.. and he does look a lot younger than 8 weeks, you can grind his kibble in the food processor and mix it with a couple of ounces of goats milk and feed him like Mary said. Just another way of feeding a young puppy. Best of luck, hugs, Carmen in nj |
Hi and Welcome to YT. You will find more information here than you know what to do with. LOL:D Is Kisses the same Yorkie you brough home in early November? |
Just curious, what happend to your other pup from last year? I noticed you posted about a pup bleeding and pee pads. Is this not your first Yorkie? Sorry to be a busy body. |

I think you should set up your own account that way you can share pictures and stories about your puppy. Also, if you aunt ever needs to come back here, there will be no confusion who we are reading about. LOL:p |
OK, nevermind then, I just went to see his pictures and looked at your post and noticed there was talk of a different puppy. No worries ;) He is a doll though and I noticed he weighs a lb now. Dang, I was a good guesser LOL. I would be willing to bet he was sold earlier and told an older age so you would think he would be a tiny when full grown. I am sorry you were lied to, more than likely the paperwork would have shown him to be much younger and by giving you an outrageous price for papers she figured you would just say no thanks. Again, all of this is just my speculation from all the info I have learned from the wonderful people on this site. |
