With pups that have dominant/aggressive issues I strongly suggest that no tug of ward be played with the dog, no rough housing......He also sounds like he's food guarding......You may want to hold the bully stick while he chews, this will teach to eat from your hand and be more gently. Do this in a calm, quiet manner......

One thing my husband does when we get a new puppy is play with them down on all fours and when they get too aggressive he stops and roles the puppy over and puts his mouth on the back of its neck and growls. NOTE: He Does Not Bite Them! He simply mimics what the mother would do. Let me just say, I have never seen anything work so well!! They know from day one he is boss.

I on the other hand use my fingers as a mouth and place it on the back of the neck and growl low and soft. It amazes me how well they listen now. They are like children and can not get away with bad manors.

Also, a dog should never be allowed to bite when you take his/her food away. You are the mom! Just like a child when you take away their candy you would never let them hit you. (You can't ground them but you can tell them you are upset with them. Don't under estimate your baby!)

As far as breeding...The most important thing to me is the dogs temperament!!! A dog that bites or is not submissive to his mommy would in most cases not be a good dog to breed. Research what to expect when you stud. (Marking, using belly bands, personality change etc.) It's very eye opening.

I've been researching over 1 1/2 years now and am just expecting my first litter from my little girl. (I don't plan on having any males to stud for personal reasons.)

But...I have a mentor and it is def the way to go if you decide you are going to do this.
