Hello from a future Yorkie owner
 
Hello everyone, Just registered last night. My wife has been wanting a small Tea-cup sized dog for about 5-6 years. Her sister has had 2 Yorkies. Both from the same parents. The first had a vary tragic end, if you looked in the dictionary for accident, the first definition would be an auto, second would have been this situation. Anyway I’m rambling, My wife has SPOILED Penny (The 2nd dogs name) like she was one of my nieces.

Well as it has turned out The woman that has bread Penny, and the first dog (can’t remember her name) Needs to fined a good home for Penny’s sister, and be assured that who ever gets the dog will not breed her. So my sister in-law has set all this up. So as of the following Saturday I will be the Daddy of a future spoiled Yorkie! LOL


Best thing is that all this has come about while my wife is on vacation, and has NO CLUE!! This is gonna be SWEET! So I am sure I’ll be around here a lot with questions. I look forward to getting to know the site, and all the Yorkie lovers. Have a great day!

WOW!!! What a great welcome. I’m use to gaming, and car repair forums. You have all made me feel right at home. I teased her a little today with telling her she has a surprise shortly after she gets home. She started to dig deeper. But I just said “It’s nothing BIG” LOL (I didn’t lie!)

I’m gonna be in so much trouble! The Princess is gonna be getting a princess! LOL I will be asking a lot of questions. Like since this is a dog that has lived with someone ells for some time now, Should I see if they can give us a blanket or something that she can have as a “comfort zone”, or should it be a clean brake thing? I was thinking along the lines of the “comfort zone” thing.

Oh, and on the whole good husband issue. Let me toot my own horn to (Toot, toot) Did I mention she is off on a 2 week vacation, 1 week in Acapulco, and the second week with her sister, and niece in Arizona. (not done yet!) While I have ACL replacement surgery in the middle of her trip (tomorrow). How’s that!?! LOL :cool:

Well, I'm going to read this to my husband and tell him what a big jerk he is! :D Lol, I don't know what ACL replacement surgery is, but I hope your surgery goes well tomorrow. I think the blanket idea is a great one, I took some blankets to Joey's breeders house, and she rubbed them on the mother dog, and on her own hands, and I do think this was a source of comfort for him, until he felt at home here. Good luck with the surgery and I hope the rehoming goes smoothly.

I just don’t wanna stress the dog out in the transfer. Figured it gives her a place that has familiar smells to “retreat” to when she is stressed . I should say when my wife isn’t holding her, or pampering her. LOL

I need to do some searches in the forums for some other questions I have. Then after that I’ll bug the snot out of everyone for answers. :)

Thanks for the well wish (doesn’t sound right as a singular LOL). I cant sleep because I’m nerves about the surgery. I hate any kind of procedure.:( My son makes fun of me over it. LOL Anterior Cruciate Ligament, kinda keeps your knee joint aligned.

Congrats on getting your wife her new baby girl, it sounds like you are just so excited also. I see a lot of trips to Petco in your future.

Good luck with your ACL surgery, don't overdue -I hear it is easy to do after that surgery.

Post pictures when you get your new little princess. You came to the right forum, there is so much good information from experienced owners at Yorkie Talk.

Not a real animal lover, or I should say wasn't until now. Keep thinking if he keeps hogging Missy so much maybe I should do the same for him..hmmmm, his birthdays coming up...........
