Question abour pads for diapers... What is the thinnest(width) pad out there that I can use for CHloe's diaper? We have been having a few accidents so I have her wearing diapers around the house again but it makes her walk bow-legged(sp?) and when she lays on her side one of her legs stick straight up because she cant put them together because of the pad. I feel bad for her because it must be annoying and uncomfortable. But diapers help her get back on track as far as potty training. I started the diaper thing on Sunday and she peed in it 4 times thats day  . I dont know why she is all of a sudden doing that, I thought we were potty trained until this month. But she has been wearing a diaper today and so far she has only gone potty outside so its already helping!. So I need a pad wether feminine or specifically for dogs that is really thin. Anyone recommend any? |
Try pantiliner instead. Thin and would probably ned changing sooner but might be more comfortable |
Good idea Yorkieangel! I did see some xx small at petsmart. Or, Can they be cut down to fit? :) |
Some people trim them down for the itty-bitty ones. :p |
Maddy wears a diaper also because she is not potty trained yet. I buy the super equate (generic at walmart) and cut them in half. She doesn't seem to walk or lay funny. |
So far I am using some awesome pads that absorb so well that she doesnt get any pee on herself which is awesome so I kinda hate the thought of pantiliners. Because CHloe is so tiny and her diaper is so tiny I am already cutting a pad in half. I am afraid if I trim the sides the whole thing will fall apart  |
i use the "always" panty liner and the "regular flow" pad. seems to do ok, but i am open to anything else that works. and i use these mostly on my male. they just seem to really "absorb". just shop around and try diff stuff until you find one that suits you. best wishes! |
I would worry about the cut ones leaking from the cut edge.Just try buying the liners . You can get a trial size or small pack for like $1. Just buy a good brand |
i used the cheapest ones i could find in pantie liners and non scented. i was afraid the scented kind would irritate her. and I cut them in half. worked great. although at first i was changing the pad constantly. i didn't want her wearing a wet one and get irritated. (she peed a lot). lol |
Well since I have such super obsorbant pads in her diaper and she is so small ( her pee barely makes a tiny puddle) I went ahead and trimed off the sides of the pad. So far she can put her legs together better- no bowleggedness and more :) They didnt fall apart yet either(the pad) like I was worried about, but she hasnt pottied in one so I dont know if I would have a problem with leakage yet. I doubt it though. Just thought I'd update ya'll ;) |
