Shocked, her ears are up and lots of silver hair growing. After a while thinking she was just going to have floppy ears and being OK with it she woke up yesterday with perky ears and they have remained still today. They are not super sturdy, still seem flexible but they are up and even more so when she is excited. She looks so much more Yorkie like now. That is her in my avatar. Her hair is coming in silver now, is this normal? It is this way all over her body where the black is as if she needs her roots stouched up :D. If you brush the hair the opposite way you can really see it. The groomer begged me to let her grow out, she wants to see her coat longer. We shall see. |
Love the ears! How old is she? Zeus started to get very white on the top of his head at about 3 months. He has tons of silver on his body now. I hear that Yorkies change their colors at different rates and may continue to change until about 3 yeas old. |
THe part that you can really see is directly on top of her head and on the back of her neck. Then when you run your fingers through her back hair you can see all the silver coming in as well, well the tips are still bacl but the roots are silver as can be LOL. |
She is adorable! Yes color changes throughout thier life. |
Aww she is so cute. You should try growing her hair out.I think it will be pretty. You can always cut it if you don't like it.But keep the top third of her ear clipped so it stays up. |
Her ears are adorable and probably will stay up now (or maybe one up, one down for awhile :)) When I bought my baby, I figured she'd be lighter colored because the top of her head was very light even though her body was dark and I was right - she is a beautiful silver color with brown streaks running through it. I keep her hair long and it's very silky, unlike my previous two yorkies whose hair seemed to mat easily. She goes to the groomers every to weeks and I brush her a couple times a day. You should try letting your little girl's hair grow out - it can always be cut. |
