Missing Yorkie 4 Attachment(s) My cousin is not a part of Yorkietalk so I wanted to post this on here for her. I've seen many threads of everyone being so helpful. Her furbaby has been missing since last night. She lives in Pembroke Pines, FL in the Towngate area. His name is Pocket. He is about 2 to 3 pounds, tiny but stocky. In the pictures I am posting he looks darker than he is because his hair was a little wet. (it was a day I was visiting, I'll get more pics from her) I'm trying to go through all the threads to find tips on what to do but if anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated. As you can imagine she is extremely upset, their whole family is (her hubby and 3 boys).:( For comparison, in the picture with the 2 yorkies he is the smaller one next to my 5 pound baby. |
I just posted on the other thread about "stealing yorkies" regarding some ideas for your sister |
Aww, that's so sad. I hope you find her soon. I would suggest you look at Cookie2's thread titled "My baby is missing and I don't know what to do". Gen is now an expert in the fundamentals of looking for a missing dog. Good Luck! |
So sad! I hope he is returned home soon! |
Go to this thread and you will find everything possible to do http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...ml#post2975424 |
Praying that he is found safe and sound - and soon. :( |

Thanks everyone! I am relaying all the information to her and while they are out looking I am posting in Craigslist and the other sites mentioned. Ugh I feel so bad for them, I couldn't even imagine. :( |
Make up POSTERS now. Put them at STOP signs so they're seen. Make sure the phone number is big enough to read from a car. Contact the Animal Control in that area. Watch Craigslist, not only Found Yorkie, but watch for Found Dog. Many who pick up a dog like this will not post a breed as part of the proof of ownership process. Bang on neighbor's doors and let them all know. If he's micro-chipped, contact the chip register NOW to red flag the chip. When Reesie is frightened she finds a tiny place to hide so look in places that you might not expect to find a dog. He might not be wandering. If they have the money, contact k9pi.com for use of search dogs, but be prepared, it's not cheap. Contact area vets and rescues and let them all know. This was just a small part of Gen's process with finding Cookie. |
Oh I had not heard of k9pi.com. I'm going tolook into that now. Thanks. |
