Pictures of Luigi???? Well, for the past 2 hours, I have been trying to put pics of my Luigi for all of you see. I am computer illiterate!! But I was able to post his pics in the photo gallery if any one would like to see them. Also if anyone has any info on how to do this, it would be greatly appreciated. I downloaded the Iranview, but I am unable to resize my pics to the correct size. It keeps saying image too big even after I resize it! Or at least I thought I was resizing it!!! Thanks!!! |
You're not alone........I too have posted a picture in the gallery, but cannot get my pixel size down far enough for avatar using irfanview  , I've tried everything I can think of..............I did post a new thread about this and someone (an administator I think), said she would resize a picture for me if I sent her one, but when i tried, the email address was not valid    ..........so I will keep trying, good luck to you........ |
I've had the same problem! Thanks for asking the question....will definitely check back for instructions on how to do this! Someone will answer....everyone here seems so nice and helpful, and I've only been a member for a few days! Good luck! |
Sorry about the problems you guys are having. The main issue is file size, as in the jpg or gif image needs to be 150kb or smaller in size for attachments. Try to make the file size 800 by 600 pixels, or 640 by 480 pixels, which should be small enough for the main forum. Here's a small guide to resizing photos using irfanview, hope it helps ya out: http://www.somewhere-in-time.net/tutorial/irfanview/ |
I have another alternative that I like to use doesn't involve any downloading of programs check it out! I'm guessing its it best used for PC or anyone with the standard Paint program. first click Start > Programs > Accesories > PAINT once the program has opened at the top go to File > Open once you've found your desired photo click Open the photo should now appear in the window return to the top toolbar and look for IMAGE click Image > Stretch/Skew here is where you resize the photo under the box titled 'Stretch' there should be two 100's in the boxes 'Horizontal' and 'Vertical' - replace the two 100's with two 40's click OK return to the top toolbar File > Save your photo is now resized! let me know if it works for you all! |
My email is lisaneal@charter.net. I will be happy to resize for you if you send them to me. I fool with digital images ALL day long in my business. I use Photoshop. |

2 Attachment(s) I think we figured it out. |
If you'd like to post images other than your avatar, try to save the image as a .jpg and it should be fine. |
