Sydney gets a message every day. I rub her head, neck, and back. When I message the shoulder blades, she yawns every time. My mom taught me that one. |
I give both of my yorkies massages. They LOVE IT!! They jump up on my lap all the time and get into position so mommy can give them a massage. :p |
I don't know if this qualifies as a "massage" but I'll rub Bandit's shoulder back area and he'll kind of melt down into my lap. He seems to enjoy it:) Is there a specific way you're supposed to massage them? |
Sandy gets massage from me every night when he's on my laps, watching the telly with me. It calms him down a lot and he seems to be very relaxed. |
All my dogs get massage. Also before and after work/training - hopefully it will help guard against injury. I also massage them in the bath when I put on the conditioner it makes the 3minute wait for the conditioner to work go fast for them. They all like massages |
Meg LOVES getting massaged. We always used to just massage her back legs. She kind of locks her legs in place as if to brace herself. She loves it! It's the cutest thing. She never used to like having her head/ears massaged, but she LOVES it now. And tummy rubs? Of course! She layed on my chest (on her back for an hour today while we were watching tv and got a tummy rub teh whole time. What a spoiled doggie! |
YES they definitely have it made...living the good life! I massage Harley every day and she just loves it...as do I! It makes me feel good to know that she enjoys it and once she completely relaxes on her back and her little head goes limp, thats when mama goes in for the sugar around her neck :) She always smells so good I can't keep my lips off of her... I swear, most times I look at her, I don't even see a dog...just my sweet baby. |

Both my boys get massages but I think my older one, Sasha, enjoys them more. Simba is normally too hyper to lay still for very long. But they both LOVE it when I rub their heads after I take their ponytails down. They get what I call "squishy" face...their eyes are almost closed and they look like they're in heaven. |
I always massage Molly when she is sitting on my lap waiting to see the vet. She is usually so relaxed by the time we go in, he can do almost anything with her! Molly used to have to wear a muzzle to be examined, but not any more. :thumbup: |
