Getting a new baby After wanting a dog for a very long time I finally talked my husband into a yorkie last feb. for my 40th bday. I have 3 children but that yorkie was like my 4th child followed me everywhere never took him out w/out a leash he was my heart. Saturday he somehow slipped out without our knowledge and he got hit by a car. Needless to say we are devastated have been crying ever since. I have decided to get another yorkie and hope this will give us something to look forward to. I have paid for a female although she won't be ready to come home for a week she's 71/2 wks. He was a little older when I got him (12wks) Is this going to be too early to start potty training? Also Is it true that females bond more with males or is this a myth? He was so attached to me I'm hoping to have the same with this one. |
I am soo sorry to hear of your tragedy. Please have the breeder keep your girl till she is 12 weeks old. She needs to be with her momma. |
Congratulations on your new furbaby. I have girl furbabies and they are very attached to me. Have a Great day! |
I'm so sorry for your loss.....I'm sure you have wonderful memorys. I agree with the 12wks, they really do need their mama's. Lola came to me at 8 weeks and she was very fragile and needy, we did start pee pee pad training right away, she did okay. However, comparing her to Leah, who I took home at 13 weeks, that 4 weeks makes a big difference. I took 1 and a half weeks of vacation time when I brought Lola home because she was like a little delicate flower who wanted to be held and kept warm. I just couldn't leave her although I'm sure she would have been okay. My two girls will pick me over my husband any day so I think the boy girl thing is a myth. I also do the disapline, bath's, vet, etc. and they still love me more. Good luck with your new baby....looking foward to some baby pic's!!:animal-pa:animal-pa |
