I went on their facebook page and posted your puppies look very unhealthy where do you get them from I got this response Lux Pup December 31 at 2:31am Report All our puppies are very healthy. Eventhough I tell you where our puppies are from, you probably have no idea where but just to let you know, Canadian laws are very different from US and to import puppies commercially to Canada, all puppies have to come from kennels which participate in government approved breeding program. "Hey there! You're pups look deformed and don't even look like yorkies. Are they sick or something? What kind of breeding program do they have in Korea that their dogs LOOK so sickly?" They would probably get super defensive with that one and my comment would be deleted. That's just bad press. |
Poor little dog. It makes me sad that there is a demand for a dog this small. When we were trying to find our Yorkie, every breeder I talked to stressed how small the puppies were. It was never my first question, but I'm sure most "customers" ask about that first. Better breeders followed up with a "lecture" about breed standard and healthy dogs, but some others just prattled on about how this dog would never weigh more than 3 lbs. It's the demand from the public that creates the market for "teacups." We get comments about Dinky's size and (extraordinary cuteness:D) all the time. I like to take that time to educate the public about how much a toy Yorkie should weigh. Dinky is just under 4 lbs. at 10 months. He's still growing though, and I tell everyone that I really want him to be at least 4 lbs. and that 5 would be great too. i also have told about a hundred people about the mistaken usage of the word "teacup." I like to think we and Dinky are doing are part. And we could have gone with his bigger sister, but we chose our Dnky because he has a sweet shy Yorkie personality that we adore, not because of his size. |

i should also add, that of course these puppies imported from everywhere are sold by brokers such as these or pet stores. Same thing, you have no idea who the breeder is, the health of the parents, what kind of facilities they come from and you know coming from a breeder who doesn't care squat where their puppy goes, it won't be good caring breeder. I am still trying to figure out how these poor little things ever survive such a long flight. |
1 Attachment(s) I know this thread is old, but I just came across it and wanted to add something. Awhile ago I had to take my boyfriends family's new kitten to their vet for them for shots. When I went there, there was this REALLY cute Pom puppy just prancing about. When I asked the Vet where he got the puppy from he said "Lux Pup". I had already heard of Lux Pup before and never thought I'd see one in person. This puppy was CUTE I mean....REALLY CUTE. And it was TINY. I asked him how old and I think I remember him saying 6 months. Anyways, by what I observed, this Pom puppy was very energetic, playful, and happy looking. Not sickly, or anything. It was so cute I took my camera out and took a picture and some videos. I will upload the picture of it. BUT, later on I realized that this Vet is HORRIBLE, after taking my own dog there...this vet knew nothing about my Busters eye issue and told me he had never seen this problem before and not to worry about it. So anyways now I'm thinking that since that vet is one of those bad vets that shouldn't practice...thats probably why he has a Lux Pup...because he doesnt know or care about the health problems that can come with their tiny size. Also, that first(and last) time I took my Yorkie Buster to this horrible vet was quite awhile after the first time I saw the Lux Pup. Probably at least a year later. And when I did see the Lux Pup again..its tongue was sticking out I noticed..it was cute at first but then since it didnt stop it looked weird. And I was thinking omg theres something wrong with it..And also it wasn't as happy and playful or energetic as the first time I saw her when she was about 6 months old. I guess she could have just been past her energetic puppy stages but..it seemed like a completely different personality. |
There faces are almost flat, these don't look up to par with the yorkie standard. These really look like they have been bread with another type of dog. If you look at that collage on the front page, there are several different breeds but if you notice the faces they all seem to have very similar shaped faces. |

Like always, it's all about the money! Why would anyone risk 2500 to purchase a questionable situation as well as questionable health. What good is a guarentee if you can't locate the ppl once you purchase the dog? |

A friend of my son's who lives in California got a little Pom back in the spring from Lux Pups. It is the smallest Pom I have ever seen. So far it has been healthy, but really has separation issues. It has big eyes, and in a way they do not look real, but it is a little doll. |
I am speachless..... Those puppies look like cartoon characters, not like real dogs. Who on earth would want a dog like that? |

yorkie from luxepup vancouver I bought one of my yorkies from luxepup about 3 years ago, I was told she would be about 3 pounds but she now weighs 7 pounds. She is quite small but heavy. We call her our porky yorkie. She isnt fat really just solid as opposed to my male who is way lighter at 4 pounds with longer legs, he was from a local breeder. She is the most adorable intelligent dog and I love her so much. I first went to luxepup because of the lure of "tiny" but in the end that made no difference. Oh and she didnt actually look like those yorkies in the pics with the weird heads and eyes. |
