Response I got back from Luxpup :January 24, 2010 5:45:38 PMTo: yame_4@hotmail.com .ExternalClass .ecxhmmessage P{padding:0px;}.ExternalClass body.ecxhmmessage{font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;}Hello. Thanks for your concern. Most of puppies' profile pictures are taken in Korea at a studio. Their head may seem big because the photographer set focus on puppies' head to show their face. :) Also our puppies have very short cobby body so it may look awkward when you just look at pictures. Usually photographers take close to 100 photos for puppies and pick 4~5 best shots; just like people taking studio pictures. We always like to show puppies in real. If not, we show movie clips for all our puppies and we also show them on webcam if people request. Don't hesitate to contact us again if you have more questions! Thank you. Please don't consider buying from a broker. Something wrong with those puppy pictures if they are pictures of the puppies. My best guess is hydrocephalic. In my considerable experience, most of the letters etc posted on these types of websites saying how great the puppy is etc are not real letters from real buyers. Buyer beware in buying dogs, you have little or no recourse if you lose your money or the pup. |
Can you imagine what those pups went through being shipped from Korea to Vancouver BC and at such a young age. :thumbdown:thumbdown |
thanks! Yeoniv, thanks for the info, I live on the Island and make it over there every once in a while, you're absolutely right, if I decide to consider this place further then I should go in person. Perrella, its yorkies for sale, baby doll yorkshire terriers, apple head yorkies, tiny yorkies, yorkie puppies for sale, champion yorkies, teacup yorkies, yorkshire terrier breeder, short nosed yorkies and the reason I found it no problem was because there was a thread I was following yesterday that talked about that breeder. Laci, thank you so much for putting in the time to send the email and looking into it further, I really appreciate that, and the various insight and views that have been shared. |
1 Attachment(s) I would never buy a puppy from a broker :thumbdown:thumbdown Why support puppy mills when you can support a local respected breeder? Their eyes look odd in the pictures, but they are different in the videos. I believe that they have been photoshopped to look this way. It reminds me of the Korean anime. One example: |

From what i have learned on here from reputable breeders/showers is that you can get a "champion" title from going to lesser shows and winning titles there, but they are not winning titles from AKC or other legitimate shows. Just like registering your dog with ACA, doesn't mean a thing. Also, the extremely short muzzle, big eyes, baby doll face, whatever you call it, is not to standard, so even if they went to a AKC show they would not win. Point being, they say "champion", I say so what? I would not trust this site. I would not want to get a pup from Korea, unless of course I lived there. There are plenty of people locally that I would consider first. On a side note, there were a few litters of yorkies confiscated at LAX, underage yorkies trying to be smuggled in from Korea. They were from a puppymill. Animal control nursed them back to health and auctioned them off with the proceeds going to the local humane society if I remember correctly. Some of them went as high as $5000! Why on earth would someone pay 5 grand for a puppymill dog, knowing it was a puppymill dog. Quote:

Im sorry I know my english is bad, it's because my first language is french. I think a lot of people here talk without really know... About photoshop: Maybe I dont know but the lady take a lot of video, photo, and agree to show these little pup on web cam. She have a lot of breed (pom, maltese york etc.). You can see on his facebookpage that a lot of people are happy with their new companion. You can also select a person and add as your friend on facebook to see picture and ask question about the pup that come from luxpup. I did. And the lady was soooo happy with her maltese, no health issue etc. This argument ''they eat it in korea'' is sooooooooo bad. Some people here eat horse and some people here in Canada do have horse as a pet. What can we conclude about that? The horse owner are bad cause some Canadien eat horse? I dont say that this is right and I dont say that it is wrong. In fact, I dont know as I never buy a pet from lux pup. But I think most people here is saying a lot of bulls**tt. |
Maybe you will say that facebookpersonn on luxpup are fake and everything. I was thinking that picture with person and pup was in fact fake and paid, but I can assure you that this lady that I add is real. It is a real facebook profile. There is a lot of picture of her, her house etc |
The problem many YTrs have problems with this is #1 because of the price #2 because of where they've traveled from and #3 because there are many different breeds. #4 because they're stating things that can't be true yet and many of the very educated in breeding know this. All of which are red flags for puppy mills. I haven't even spent $3500 on my puppies yet and they are 16mo old. Be careful. It's up to you to buy from them though, I hope you have a puppy with a long life ahead. |
those photos have got to be photoshopped to look like anime...BUT...even still this breeder looks shady, shipping from Korea is a BIG RED FLAG, and I wouldn't buy a dog from her ever because this is NOT the makings of a good breeder it's a broker. anytime a pup is born and you cannot see the parents or the breeder's home then it's NOT worth buying no matter what. |
I think the video of the owners little male is adorable, but all aside from that....it's trouble. People who have the money will flock to buy these little bundles only to find themselves at a loss as how to take care of it. Meaning for one its size, health problems that sooner or later I'm sure will crop up. Imagine someone not knowing how to care for a small breed and knows nothing about hypoglycemia, loses their puppy in less than 24 hours. 4,500 lost money and lost pup. Imagine the poor pup around kids? Don't airlines have some kind of limit on what weight they should be? Like not less than 2 pounds. sigh..tiny tiny tiny |
In my opinion, it's not even about what these puppies look like or how many "satisfied" customers post on fb or anywhere else. This is about brokering puppies. IMO, brokers are just about the scum of the puppy business. They literally do nothing but profit off of innocent dogs. These dogs are most likely from puppy mill kennels....do you realize what puppy mills are? If you don't, please I beg you to research just a little. If you do know what puppy mills are, I don't know how anyone with a conscience could recommend this broker. |
Please don't buy from a broker. You are only supporting puppymills operating behind the scenes. No reputable breeder will sell to a broker. Surely, wherever you are, there are local breeders that you can visit; meet and greet the breeder and parents; and confirm the conditions in which they are born and raised. It's pretty much the least you can do in order to distance yourself from ANYTHING resembling a puppymill. |
