scam or no scam?
 

this lady is running a ad in a local classified and it shows a pic of the pup, but no other info other than a email---and me being curious sent her a email asking how much she was asking and where the pup is located--this was her reply

Vet and will make a very good house hold pet. So i am giving her
out for adoption only to a good and loving home because i do not
have much time for her so thats why i am giving her out she is a

:-She eats 2 times Daily and have adapted to that.
:-She take to order like when you ask her to lie down.
:-SHE is Hand Fed and Dna tested
:-SHE had made a 15 days stay in Quarantine so she will come
directly to your homes after delivery.
:-She is AKC,CKC,UKC, and is potty trained.
:-She loves to be around other dogs and kids, and she adores hugs and careses
:- She weighs 2.75 ibs and will be full grown
approximately 4or 5ibs my estimations.
:-She will come in a Ventilated crate and Blankets for Cold,So i
am Located in Central Province ,Cameroon and the flight to you will take approximately 10
hours 30 minutes duration and that will be a very comfortable one
for her.So Please i will like to know the following from you to
see if my baby will be in good loving home
Are you Married?
Do you have kid(s) if yes how many?
Do you have a large yard that she can play in?
Are you a breeder?
How soon do you want her,will you care for her?
Whats Your Full names and where are you located?
- Sorry for asking such questions to but i am just trying to
look a good and loving home for my baby and we are not selling her but she is up for adoption because we are not looking out to make money out of her but just looking for that perfect home and if you wish to know why we are letting this darling go , i am at your disposal.Thank you very much for your email..

i know theres alot of good people out there, but i also know theres people out there that would take the money for shipping and then you never hear from them again. im not interested in buying the pup (who is a sweet one in the pic) i was just curious about her.

Because it leaves no doubt to me.
First.... the cameroon people are among the firsts to start those scams. that alone should be enough...
but if you want more, these people dont know the difference between a bird and a dog: ":-SHE is Hand Fed and Dna tested

These are descriptions usually given on a bird like a parrot !!!! Another great "bait" since these are expensive birds.

"She is AKC,CKC,UKC, " .... hello ... would you spend money on registry to give a pup for free? Think... their money os only worth a share of Dollar. 20, bucks for you or me to spend in registry may not be much....
But for someone living in her country is a lot !!!

read on internet , search on google about the Cameroon scammers.
Save yourself and your money !
Or better, donate to the red cross to Haiti .... it is a great cause if you can dispose of a couple hundred dollars or 300 ... that must be the asked shipping "cost" amount!

Ah, the good ole Cambodian/African/Nigerian puppy scam. Yes, this ploy is quite well reknown and has been brought up several times on this forum. Do a web search for Cambodian Puppy Scam...you'll be surprised at how far this has spread.

i just thought id throw this out there and get people opinions on the ad--guess i worded it wrong (sorry)---and if all else------- if theres anyone considering buying from an email or ad like this-------STAY AWAY!!!

OHHHH NO, I dont think my little Maddie would share me even if i were wanting another yorkie.:D Its unfortunate that people fall for this kind of thing. I was just contacting her to see what HER gimmick was in this scam.

Another day i emailed one back with the name of my city , and gave the police station phone number... they got mad.... emailed back very upset ... kkkk
they wanted my personal info, not the law enforcement !

Just Google Nigerian Cameroon puppy scam and you will find lots of information. Yorkies and English bulldogs are popular breeds for these scams.

Yes a scam for sure! I got scammed before and lost $450...that was when I was 17 and I desperately wanted a yorkie and couldn't spend too much. Now, I would only go local. Now my motto is I have to see it before I pay, which is good cuz I have two darling babies.

This is for sure a scam.

That's definitely a scam! I *almost* fell into one before I got my dog.
