Help!!My Yorkies Ears were perfectly pointed, then fell floppy all of a sudden!!! :(Please help!! Does anyone know why this has happened and what I can do to make them point again? I initially thought it was because her hair had grown quite a bit longer in the past month so I gave them a good trim and cleaned them thoroughly and they are just flopped over:( She is over 5 months old and has had "perfect points" since she was very young!! |
Saydee did that when she started losing her baby teeth. They are back up now. :) |
I agree, probably due to teething. Keep the hair short on the tips and some people massage them. Of course there is always taping too, but since they were up before, hopefully they will be up again. I'm certainly no expert, Tiki has one up and one down, and frankly I LOVE it. |
Happened to us too...try feeding cottage cheese and massaging, but most likely they'll go back up on their own once teething is almost done. |
Could be teething but it might because of her health issue..is your yorkie doing fine except the ears? |
Wow;) Thankyou kindly fellow yorkie lovers for the helpful insight...I t is much appreciated:D Chloe Bear and her twin sister Baby Piper both have their ears down now going on 2 days but are both super active and eating well...They will be going for a wellness exam, regardless, within the next couple of weeks so if for some reason it is something other than teething, we will be sure to find out as our vet is wonderful!!:animal-pa Thankyou again!!!:thumbs up |
Sounds like you are getting great advise. It is no fun when your baby cuts in new teeth. Those rubber latex toys sure feel good on the gums. Sometimes their eyes will tear too. No worries all will be back to nomal with your heart stoppers ears. |
Mine did that at 9 months!! There is no way that ear is going back up, its all caved in, and I"m just sick about it!!! Its shaved to the 9's, and I tried taping it for a while, but after 6 months the cartlidge is set, so I don't understand what happened. Anybody out there have any suggestions? |
