Bear's New Behaviors Hey Everyone! It's been a while, life has been pretty hectic but I've missed you all! Bear is now just over 15 months old and he has had some changing behavior lately. He has become MUCH more attached to me and much less attached to my hubby unless I'm not around. So much so that once we get home from work, fed him supper and played for a good hour to hour and a half I will sit down to take a rest and read the paper or watch a show and he will ignore the fact that my hubby is willing to play with him and bark and whine and cry at me for as long as I let him. I don't want to give in because I don't want him to feel like this is acceptable behavior but I don't have any ideas on how to change this. It has now been going on for a few months and I hate to say it but it is getting on my nerves!!! Does anyone have any suggestions or training tips? Thanks! :animal-pa |
This is not unusual behavior, yorkies tend to be more partial to one or the other. They say that boys favor to the woman, and that girls it really can go either way. Unfortunately there is probably nothing you will really be able to do about it, you can try and not give into his needs as often and have your husband take up more of the responsibilities with him, such as walks, bath time, treats etc... This may help, but you should feel really loved, I love it when Reese wants to give me more attention than daddy:D. Hope this helps. |
I find that all day long while I am at home Lucky is closer than my shadow.....But when my DH gets home from work he is a real Daddy's boy! hehe that's when I get to take a break!! lol |
