Maybe i need some advice This is about my non yorkie doe, his name is sharpie and i thought it would be a good idea to consult with you guys whats going on. On Saturday i took him to my in laws home. She was not actually pet sitting but me and my husband stepped out for a minute, when we returned she told us that Sharpie had swolled her Alli Diet pill..... I kept a close eye on him we were out of town and didnt expect to be back in town till Sunday night. Whole saturday went by fine, also Sunday he pooped normal. BUT TODAY when my husband was at home with them he thought Sharpie had initially thrown up...ON THE COUCH which he doesnt even pee inside the house anymore he is very good about these things...WELL happened to be diarrhea..a little of it. Can the Alli be the one doing this so many hours after it was taken? He has acted his normal self except for this one thing.. Should i be worried..What should i do? Take him to a Vet if it continues? Please adviceee im pulling my hairs our at this point. I searched it on google but could only find one question with out any follow up... |
dog** not doe lol (sorry im multitasking at work today) |
from what i know it can take up to 12 hours give or take.... for it take its toll. I would say that yes what hes going through now is from the pill. If you read the effects from the pill that is one of them. I would call the vet asap. Diet pills can have different effects on children and animals. |
Okay i think Sharpie is out of danger!! He just had that once accident and after that he ha drank ALOT of water and he has been eating his food perfectly. |
Im not going to get to gross with details but Ali is basicly a fat absorber, alot of woman who have taken ALI have complained about Leaking a fluid like substace rectally:eek::eek: I know of two woman I used to work me that were on this diet and this happened to both of them. On a good note there is no caffine in Ali it is not an appetite depressent so I would say that everything will be okay:confused: The drug’s maker, GlaxoSmithKline, has been up front about the pill’s side effects, suggesting that first timers wear dark pants or bring a change of clothes to work until they get used to the diet pill’s potentially yucky consequences. And even though pharmacist Miyuki Anderson, who works at a Bartell Drugs in Seattle, warns everyone who eyes the Alli display about the messy side effects, it doesn’t stop most of them from buying the diet pill. (Anderson does, however, arm them with this helpful tip: “I tell the patients, try when you have a day off.”) But we don’t always like to bother with directions. Those who haven’t completely followed instructions offer cautionary tales on the drug company’s Web site. “(I)’ve pooped my pants 3 times today, and sorry to get descriptive but it even leaked onto the couch at one point!” writes one user. |
