On a daily basis, Bailee tries to eat or border collies food...his food is by the door so EVERYTIME we tkae him out to potty she runs there and eats all of his food...sometimes we will open the door again and catch her...then she runs and hides!
She also likes to tear up toilet paper, usually leaving the evidence on her face!

The Yuki slide, roll and scratch - morning routine

My lil monkey has a morning routine he does each day after leaving his crate. He has to first slide across the rug, then he does a few rolls and then a mad scratching routine as if he's digging. The routine normally takes place before he will go out to do his first potty. Most mornings it takes about 3 to 5 mintutes, but one morning he really went at it from family room to sun room, about a good 15 minutes. I didn't know when he would let up. He not only tired himself out, but tired me out just watching him and waiting to let him out to do his business! I'm going to try to paste the youtube video here, but if it doesn't work you can view it on my page. Happy viewing!

My Gypsy is either crazy or just plain funny. She has a habit of acting like she is picking one piece of food out of her dish and setting it in the floor beside it. I say acting because she never actually takes a piece out. She mimics this action all the time. She will also scoot the food with her nose back up into the top of the container from the bowl part. This is one of those dishes that has storage on top so you can free feed. It is so funny to watch her but sometimes it worries me.

That reminds me of the other weird and funny thing Yuki doesa...

My baby can not eat his food out of the bowl like normal furbaby's. He's got to take a few pieces out at a time and place them on the floor somewhere and then eat each one before going back to retrieve more and start the routine all over again. Of course, this makes his food and meal time take longer than normal. But guess what... I don't mind because before he starting this eating routine, he passed gas all the time from eating too fast like a glutten. Now he hardly ever passes gas. He solved his gassiness problem for me. Yayyyyyy was I happy!:D

I have a good story to add. The other day my husband went to get something out of the pantry in the kitchen but forgot to close it all the way. He then went to go smoke (he smokes outside) and when he came back he caught 6 lb Tobie holding the twisty end of a loaf of bread in his mouth with it dragging behind him! As soon as Tobie saw Daddy, he tried to ran away fast with his prize but Daddy yelled, "Drop it!" and he knew that he had been defeated. LOL :p

The funniest thing that has ever happend to me is at Thanksgiving time I was making coconut bread pudding and Pixie was under my feet as usual and I turned on the mixer and for some dumb reason the coconut milk and eggs went up in the air and landed on Pixie she was soaked in that stuff and was going crazy trying to eat it. I had to quickly bathe her and that she didn't like.
Another time I was calling Pixie and she was no where to be found I am looking all over for her and I walk in the kitchen and up pops her lil head out of the trash can. She jumped into the trash. she is one fire ball!!! she keeps me on my toes! lol:D

Yours had me laughing my butt off! I could imagine little Pixie trying to eat what fell on her.

At my house I have a strict no begging policy. Kaji gets more treats for sitting in his bed during family dinners than he does for jumping up at everyone on the table. However, my dad likes to treat his grandpuppy to whatever he wants and has struck a deal with Kaj: Treat when mommy isn't looking.
So I'm baking cookies one day, and I'm getting them out of the oven which means I can't watch Kaji. Just as I turn around with cookies in hand, I see my dad giving Kaji a scrap. First thing out of my mouth is "What are you doing?" Both my dad and Kaji freeze! Kaji doesn't move his head but is looking at me out of the corner of his eye and he knows he's been caught. My dad quickly pulls away and Kaji is still frozen with a piece of food in his mouth. I tell Kaji to drop it, which he does and then he comes. Now, instead of just coming he made sure he wouldn't further associate himself with the scrap. He took five extra steps to make sure he walked AROUND the scrap and then to me.
At least he's obedient! :p I wish I had his "OH NO!" in picture. It was the funniest thing!!!

Oh, Galahad, hehe. First off, he is a very vocal little guy. Not yippy or majorly barky, but he makes growling/groaning noises that sound like he's really telling you something, lol. I talk back to him a lot of the time in the same kind of noises, just for giggles. Today, my sister was over, and she was sitting on the couch skritching behind his ears. She stopped to gesture during our conversation, and Galahad looked up at her and does his little growl/groany "Urrrrrr" noise in protest. She decides to talk back at him the same way, and he sits up, perks up his ear, and cocks his head off to the side. He repeats the noise, she repeats it back to him. He then stands up, paws on her chest, and makes the noise, little head cocked sideways. She makes it right back, he lifts his right paw up and put it right over her mouth! He just told her to shushie-face, lol! We busted up laughing, it was so stinking cute.

Kaji has a new eating routine too. Play, wander off to the bowl, take one piece of kibble, place it on the floor, eat it, charge at me to play some more, and repeat. We have complicated babies!

That's too cute!
I like to annoy Kaji by blowing on his ear and neck. When he gets tired he'll turn real quick and put his paw on my mouth ever so gently like, "mom, that's enough."

Every morning Chloe stands up and "dances" on her back legs then almost bows ( like the "were not worthy" bow with her butt way in the air and her head on the ground) when she sees me , she gets sooo excited ! I also think it's cute when she gets a bone she will NOT put it down...she will carry it in her mouth everywhere ....even to pee on the pee pad....when she finally will put it down , she hides it. Then if you even walk in that general direction she runs, gets it , and goes in search of another hiding spot...we finally have to just take it from her so she can relax

Also the steps to our sofa are small sized for Chloe to walk up , but Sydney has taken to sleeping on the middle step ( which she practically hangs off of ) well Chloe cant get up the steps so she barks at Syd ( who downright ignores her) and then she will try to climb over Sydney to use her steps ( mind you she refuses to use them almost any other time , but if Syd is sleeping on them , suddenly she wants to use them right that second even if no one is sitting on the couch )

These stories have me literally laughing out loud to myself here.... are Yorlie's the only babies that have these personalities I wonder? I have owned other doggies and it seems Lucky is a whole different experience!! I just love every one!!

Alfie has a full tail, which curls right over his back and looks very pretty. But as a pup he hated it. When he walked the tip would tap him on the bum, the faster he waljed to get away from it the faster it would tap him, until he got really annoyed and would try to attack it. Fortunately for his tail it was smatter tham him and would always stay just out of reach. Which if coase would only annoy him more. Cracked us up everytime. Fortunately for his tail he's decided to accept it now.

Today, my DH emailed me to say that Belle had shredded and entire toilet roll...she climb on the toilet to reach it at the back and all he could see was her nose and tail wagging out the top of this mountain of loo roll!

I caught Sandy licking the wall again last night. I raised my voice and called his name, he immediately jumped next to his toy and pretending he's playing! :D That expression on his face was priceless!! I caught him the second time, he ran and hid under the bed. He knew he's doing something he's not supposed to do!

A get together at our house after a friends funeral ..... Baxter is getting lots of attention at first - then none. I could tell by his actions that he getting out of sorts as he was not center of attention - he was beginning to do his "pout" (putting his back to us all and glancing over his shoulder with sad sad eyes). All is going well - suddenly LOTS OF LAUGHTER.... and stares at me. Here is is PROUDLY parading around the room with his head held up high carrying my big granny underpants (yep - the big old high waisted white granny ones). (this is a favorite game of his as a rule if anyone leaves a drawer open).......... of course it turned into a "chase" and I was in an instant sweat of embarassment. He could have at least picked out a pair of fancy colored lace ones - but noooooooooooo, out comes the granny pants.

I know for a fact he knew what he was doing. He often does something to DEMAND attention when HE wants it.

SophieKatesMom 01-09-2010 07:46 AM

LOL the Granny Panties parade made me laugh. Sophie Kate likes to steal my slippers, while they are on my feet, while I am walking. Also I caught her last week on the bed staring at my computer screen watching the cows on Farmville, I watched for a couple minutes, she was intent on getting those cows.

Anothe favorite thing for her to do is watch me workout with Wii Fit, she will sit behind me on the couch and stare...very strange feeling.

Omgosh, Tobie does the same thing and it drives me crazy. LOL. He also likes to pull on the bottom of my pajama pant leg while I am walking. The phrase I think I use most often is, "Tobie, stop, I don't like this game!". He doesn't seem to care though, because HE likes that game. LOL.

I found out completely by accident what Nibbler had been up to. One day last week I was sat on my bed sorting out things on my dresser when Nibbler comes trotting in, sees me, stops and drops to the floor on his tummy, I had no idea what he was doing. He then, still on his tummy, crawled along the floor looking at me until he reached my slipper sock which was on the floor (had lost one of them the week before) he gingerly picked it up, still looking at me and on his tummy he made his way under my bed! I got down on my hands and knees and right in the corner at the back near the wall was Nibbler, the other slipper sock, two pairs of my socks, a pair of my husbands socks, a hairbrush, his fluffy bone and a hair scrunchie. The look on his face when he realised he'd been busted was priceless. I have had to put boxes under my bed to stop him 'borrowing' things, he's a little b****r, I wouldn't change him for the world! :):aimeeyork

boo-boo 01-15-2010 08:45 PM

Boo Boo does so much cute stuff that I just can't keep track. However, there is one story that I probably shouldn't think is funny, but it makes me laugh every time I think of it.
I was outside with Boo and Molly, my 3 yr. old yellow lab, and they were sniffing around the yard. Boo always has to sniff where Molly sniffs so she didn't think anything was unusual when he came up and started sniffing right next to her nose. Next thing I know, and much to the surprise of Molly, Boo lifts his leg and starts to pee on her nose. He does adorable things all the time, but I can't help but laugh when he shows what a little brat he can be!
