how many times a day how many times a day do these little guys go pee, I'm glad we don't go outside to pee, we have pee pads I have four of them around the house and i put clean ones out in the am or as needed so far today I have counted at least 10 and that is 90% pee pee in the right place. If we went out side I would be going out alot, does everyone notice this? is this usual? Is it cause he is not learning to hold it...he holds it all nite and does one big pee in the am... that is after going to bed at 8:30 and getting up about 6am just curious:confused: oh ps he is 15 weeks old, 3 lbs |

My girls pee and poop a bazillion times a day  I'm sooooo glad we use pads. |
Jackson seems to go a lot when I'm home with him during the day because he's constantly drinking water, etc, but he can hold it for 8-10 hours overnight with me. The longest I leave him alone is 6 hours during the day and he can hold it during that time. But like I said, when I'm home with him during the day, he usually pees every 2 hours. He generally poops 2x a day, sometimes 3 depending on what he's eaten. |
I think it probably depends depends on both the dog, age, and whether they train outside or for pee pad. My two youngest are about 20 weeks. they are both pee pad trained (for the most part) and go at very different intervals from one another. One seems to have to pee all the time while the other goes pee every 3-4 hours now. They both poop 2-3x per day currently. It depends on how many extra treats they get. (green beans, carrots, froot loops, etc). Whenever they get their extra treats, I'm basically guaranteed 3 poops if not more. :) |
Mine is a week younger and she pees probably about every 2 hours as others have said. You can pretty much count on them going when they wake up, but they are pretty hard to predict otherwise. |
I have 2 that are pad trained and 1 that is housebroken and goes outside to potty (I acquired him as an adult and he was already reliably housebroken). I find that my pad trained dogs pee a lot and sometimes I wonder if its because they never were trained to hold it. They will hold it when crated, for however long they need to, but when running free in the house they potty constantly. The one I have that is housebroken goes outside 3 times a day and holds it until each trip We go at more or less the same time every day and if I miss that time, he will whine and let me know he has to go. I do not have many accidents with him. Sometimes he will ask for an extra potty trip but its rare. My only complaint with him is that sometimes he holds it too well. If its raining outside he will NOT go to potty. He also will not use the pads so it worries me on those days that he is holding his bladder for too long. |
Couver is a year old, and poops twice daily- once in the morning, and once at night. I try to take him outside every few hours to go potty. |

I pretty much do the same , I take her out every couple hours. I do not use pee pads, she is just outside trained , however today in this snow storm I wish she would use a pee pad  |
Luckily Alfie was clean all night from when I brought him home at 10 weeks. During the day he goes outside to do his pee pee and poopie. I take him out after every nap, his, not mine :) and after he has been playing and about half an hour after he has eaten. Yes there are some days when he seems to be in the garden alot but it is startin to pay off because Alfie now sits at the door and gives a little cry, to go out. Well sometimes he does and sometimes about once every 2 days he just stands whever he is and goes. And when I say 'cry' It isn't even that really and you have to be careful because you can easily miss it. He is 15 weeks tomorrow so I hope it isn't much longer before he gets it right. |
