Need a good Groomer in Riverside, CA. Hi all, I am the proud owner of a 3 month old Yorkie! His name is Lucky!!! Is it safe for me to take him to a groomer at such a young age? I need to find a groomer in the Inland Empire that is good with toy breeds. Any suggestions? Regards, Brandon :) |

Hi Brandon, Welcome to the world of Yorkies. We use Coventry Pet Resort in Redlands. They are open 7 days a week and do a wonderful job on Yorkies and Biewers. Tell them Dee sent you if you decide to try this salon. they also have day care and boarding. |

Thank you for the tip on Coventry!! Much Appreciated. I have not decided where I will take Lucky to get groomed, but I did find out from my vet that I cannot take him to be groomed until after he is vaccinated! They were warning me about Parvo ?? I am going to talk to the vet again tomorrow to see when I can get him in to be vaccinated. He just finished a round of antibiotics for an infection and they wanted to wait a few days before they vaccinated him. He's still young ( 3 mos. according to birth records).... We'll see what the vet says tomorrow. His hair is getting quite long and I don't quite know what to do since I can't take him to the groomer! Thank you for the help!! Regards, Brandon :) |
He should already have his first round of Parvo shots by 12 weeks? Wookie had 2 rounds by then. I would go to a shop that requires some form of vaccinations: definitely rabies. I would recommend having Bordatella too. Check the shop out to see if it smells and looks clean. We disinfect every kennel, table, and tub after a dog is on it. |
