Going poop NOT where she should! Sweet Pea will be 1yr next month and i have worked hard with her when we 1st got her at 12wks to use the potty pad (my backyard has too many holes in the fences for me to let her go outside) I no longer work so i'm always home. I did the "keep her in a smaller room, blocked off and with pads on the floor and gave her treats when she went on the pads" then increased the space a bit at a time. She will go pee on the pads but sometimes she will go poop on the pad sometimes not. I have went back to the "training" 4x's now, until she "gets it (this takes about 4wks) then a few weeks later she goes right back to poop on the carpet! If i catch her in the act i will tell her no and put her on the pad and give her a treat. There are times she will look right at me and pee/poop on the carpet, like just because she can out of spite! What the heck is going on??? |

She would do the same, stare at me as she would go right on there, in some cases, she would even start to walk away, while going, as I would ask her why she was going there. What I ended up doing was just tossing away the runner. It may not be so easy with wall-to-wall carpeting, but it worked. And yes, I tried the the enzyme elliminator and all that stuff, but she still would go on it. She hasn't gone inside ever again. |
I don't have any runners in my hallway. |

Maybe you can block the specific area she is going on if she's selective about it. Are you using cleaners to remove the scent that is left behind from her going in that area? |
is she sort of regular with her poops, I know mine poops first thing in the morning and then around 6 or 7, could you use a leash and try to get her to poop on a leash in the back yard , give her treats and a yippie. I dont think dogs are really spiteful , they do anything to please us, she wouldnt do something intentional to get you angry. She really is still young too! |
She just goes anywhere. Yes i use special cleaner to remove all odor. My daughter has used the leash to train her to go in the backyard but that didn't work either. We tried right after eating/drinking and would stay outside for hours, she would just whine to come back in. Same for when we 1st get up in the morning and at before bed at night. She can hold her pee/poop all night. She sleeps with my daughter in her bed. She has never had an accident at night in bed. She may be "mad" at me or my daughter because sometimes we have to leave her at home, we keep her blocked in the dinning room where there is tile and there are 4 pee pads down on the tile floor. Right now she is "sulking" cause i wont let her lay in my lap while i'm on the laptop (there isn't enough room for both) Thanks all |
