hair I want to let my little one top notch grow out but I can't do the rubber band because of my arthritis so when I take her to the groomer she been cutting it like a puppy cut I think so should I just keep it like that are try to let it grow out I really miss her not having a bow. thanks. |
They're making many bows with a barrette backing and plastic pinch clips to hold the topknot, but they do take some practice to operate but still easier than bands. Except Mimimomo sells really stretchy bands that I think are much easier to put in than any others I have tried so far. Or get a friend to help? :D |
4 Attachment(s) I've had good luck with the small metal barretts that you bend and they pop open and close. I used them on both Gracie Ruth & Yogi when younger and growing out the topknots. I've found them at Drug Stores, Target, Walmart, Kmart and earring boutiques. Attachment 303518 Attachment 303519 I've also had good luck with the tiny scrunchies that are available. They are as tight as the grooming bands but hold the hair nicely once it's long enough for a pony tail. DH had trouble in the beginning getting it wrapped around enough times to actually stay in. So he'd put the scrunchie in and then clip one of the metal barretts above it. It worked well and he eventually got to where he could do the scrunchies by themselves. Attachment 303522 Attachment 303523 Another plus about both of these options is that there is very little hair breakage involved with them. |
Oh yes, I love those clips, we use them and they look very cute and are easy if you have a wriggler (sometimes Belle is a wriggler). I don't think I will use anything else tbh! |
