Petco Training Classes
 
I'm thinking of taking my little terror to the Petco classes. Has anyone else ever been to their classes and how are they? Would you recommend?

I went to Petsmart classes.
I liked it because they get to meet other puppies. :)

I've never been, would it be dumb to go at this point my little guy Miko is already 1 and 4 months old. He has a barking problem towards other dogs I wonder if these classes will help that?

No, it's not dumb at all! They have different classes.... here's what their website says....

Basic Class
The Basic Class is designed for older puppies and adult dogs. This class begins with an orientation without your dog so you and the instructor can get to know each other and learn lessons to help start you and your dog off right. Each week, the Instructor will teach you various lessons to use in everyday life, as well as discuss many topics of interest. This class is also designed to help solve basic behavior problems and help you better understand your dog.

No matter which class you choose, we will help you succeed. Our goal is to ensure you are successful throughout the program and happy with the results. Get your dog trained right at PETCO!

My little guy is going on 4 years old! I had him signed up before at our local college but they cancelled the class due to lack of enrollment. So now I've decided to try Petco!

I continue to take my dogs to training. it is a lifetime thing for them and they love it! it i never too late to start!

Hefner, and Chai will graduate tomorrow from the Basic course at Petsmart!! We are so excited!!! :thumbup:

Annie is in her 3 week right now of her Petco classes.. She is 16 months. So it is never too late :) The basic class is meant for older doggies :D

Right now we are working on the basics... But I am hoping in the coming weeks we work on other issues like barking at strangers (from the house at the street, etc)

It was only $89 for 8 weeks with a PALS card so not bad

Deb has just finished her 3rd class and so far I have been very impressed with the class. The trainer is very knowledgeable and very willing to talk to us individually before or after class with specific issues. I would highly reccomend PETCO classes!

I took a puppy PETCO class when I first got Keeley. I loved it, we had a lot of fun. I really liked that there was a seperate room for the class. I would have continued on at PEtco but we moved and the Petco here is teeeny tiny and so I am taking him to the intermediate training class at Petsmart in a week!!! I am so excited.

It is so fun to be around the other dogs too.
