Hair growth
 
My little Mia has always had really short, thin hair that I swear didn't hardly grow at all for months! Now she is 9 months old and her hair has recently just taken off! She actually has the "hair visor" thing going on :D . It is finally long enough that I have to keep it in a pony tail if I want to see her eyes.
I think her hair grew 1/4 inch in a week- even my family commented on it. I had all but given up hope that she would ever have that long, silkie yorkie flowing coat, but I think she is well on her way now!

Lexi's hair seem to sprout at about 8-9 months also, now I think it is a stand still... :confused:

coco's hair grows super fast!!! i use missing link in his food so i think this is whats making it grow sooo fast, plus it looks healthier too! tricia, you should try it :D

I was almost convinced Mia was what they call a "red legged" yorkie and that her hair would never grow. Her brother, from the same little, has a ton of hair, has already had 2 haircuts and still has a ton of hair.

I just bought some Missing Link when I went out at lunch today hoping maybe that it would help... :rolleyes:

Princess's hair grew slow for the first year,
after that, it's To the groomers we go,
it grows really fast now. :)

it's like a nutrition and vitamin supplement for dogs, it has ingredients that helps your dogs coat grow and retain and replace it's shine, i bought mine at petsmart, i believe it's around 12.00 dollars but it lasts long.

Yea it seem funny how their hair changes At about 5 months Jacks hair started to thin and get more grayish colored. His puppy coat was very thick too. I heard that they go through an so called "ugly" stage (I should say some do). I hate to say that about my baby. Its an in between stage. We shall see. :) :D : :aimeeyork :animal36

My understanding is that it is a "throw off" you see sometimes in litters where the coloring is good, but the hair itself is coarse and wirey and doesn't grow to any length on the body. I have read (I don't know this... only read about it- here, I believe :rolleyes: ) that breeders like to have one of these in their breeding stock because they usually produce nicely colored litters.

I'm gonna get me some of the Missing Link and try it too! Bailey and Charlie's hair is starting to grow and their little top knot (really a pony tail) is looking so cute when I fix it.

LOL !! On post #9 you had a quote where she asked what Missing Link was.

For some reason that doesn't show up for me.

AND WOW!!! As I'm looking at the thread (as I scroll down below where I'm typing this) I see one of your posts (at 4:19) saying that you use Missing Link too... That post doesn't show up in my regular "forum view" either!! Why would it show up one place but not the other??? I'm just plain weirded out now!!

HA HA You think I'm out of my mind - don't you!! I swear its just not there!! I must be in the Twilight Zone!

BTW so the Missing Link works, then.... (Once I hit submit, I may never know your answer)
