Dog Names I have a 6.5 lb yorkie boy that we named Rocky, 4 years old. I figured if you were only gong to grow up to be 7 lb, you would need a big name! Plus when we went to pick him up I sat on the floor and called Rocky, and he ran over. We are getting Bullwinkle in 8 days! I think Rocky needs a friend. When the kids and I took him to the vet, I had him in a basket, and I checked in and told them Rocky was here. They smiled and asked me to put him on the scale - - that huge one - - I laughed and sat him on there. Then they laughed too - - Oh we thought Rocky was a Rottweiler! We need a different scale! His AKC name is Rocky Rockafeller Peterson. I figured he would have us spending $$! |
My yorkie's name was Bandit but as many of you know he died last week. We were going to have him registered and his name would have been Bandit Who Stole My Heart. My choc. lab mix is named rusty cause of his rusty color. but we were going to have bandit neutered. |
Mya Little Darling of Brampton, nickname: Squeeky She squeeks when she is tired so we call her squeeky at bedtime or nap time. Our Pom is Comic, nickname:Comico My daughter was 5 when we got him and named him Cotton because he looked like a cotton ball. That would of been cute if our so called registered "tea cup" did not get to 25 Lbs. He is so funny so he became Comic |
Teal's Macho Playboy aka Hefner Champagne's One in a Million aka Princess Chai |
Because I am British and because of the Yorkie heratige, my baby boy is Prince Union Jack, known as Jack. I am Jill so we get lots of fun comments. |
My dogs name is Maximus... I am thinking of a registered name and it might be... Love to the Maximus or Maximus Emperor of Amor I don't know! |
Tito The crazy part too was that two days before I got him I was telling my boyfriend that when I got a little Yorkie I was going to name it Tito if he was a boy. The family we got him from had already named him that (I didn't know this beforehand). When I went to see him and they told me his name I was like  OH MY GOD! I HAVE to have this dog. :D Sometimes his daddy calls him Tito Burrito, Tito Bandito or Mr. T |
This is a great thread My yorkie is called Pippin - Pip for short. I chose it because I like it and had already decided what to call him before I got him. When I told someone his name they said oh like Lord of the Rings? |
Michelle's Point Loma Belle - we call her Belle Tigger Wilby Tara's Tuition - we call him Tig (we raised puppies to help pay for our daughter's college tuition!) Miss Pebbles of Owyhee County - we call her Pebbles |
My Yorkie's name is Mia, but her registered name is : Heartsdesire Precious Mia. We have nicknames for her, but they're in french or should I say Acadian/French. I don't think you'd want to use those names :D |

What a fun chain.... Maggie (aka Maggie Anne) has Maggie Puddin' (as in Yorkshire Puddin) as her AKC registration. Maggie also answers to Punkin'... Molly (aka Molly Kate...and she won't come unless she hears the KATE part of the name) is registered as Good Golly Miss Molly (Kate). If we get a third (which is under SERIOUS discussion right now), she'll likely be Misha (which I know is a MALE Russian diminuative)... Probably Misha Nicole with an AKC something along the lines of Misha Barisnikov. Actually, all their middle names are chosen for their "god parents". Maggie is my sister's god dog. Molly is for my very favorite niece, and Nicole will be for the little girl next door who LOVES my girls. |
Our yorkie's name is Miko :) |
I can't decide whether to register Tito as: Seņor Tito "El Bandito" Chapa (my last name) or Seņor Tito El Bandito de mi Corazon (because he stole my heart) |
