Can your yorkie see ghosts? :eek:I totally believe in the paranormal based on my own personal experiences. We just relocated into a new home (Active duty Marine family) when we got Ares God of War. Not only is Tank (our 1 year old Boxer) staring into the hallway and following "the man" my kids and myself see... but Ares is barking and runs away. when I see "the man" (usually a black mass type shadow) in the kitchen he goes crazy! Barking running in circles! I just wanted to know if anyone else has a furbaby with this ablility of sensing the paranormal. |
I have no idea if my Yorkies can see stuff I can't. However, I just want to commend you for your bravery. If I knew/thought I was in the vicinity of a ghost, I would need a new pair of underwear, stat! |

Lol! That was inital reaction as a child, but growing up with that ability has numbed me a little to thier presence. I wanted to post this bcause pets often see things and owners brush it off. I had a kitty before who every night would hiss at the same corner of the room at th same time every night! My hubby didn't believe me about the thing in the corner until he saw it with his own eyes! Lol |
On occasion I believe we have a visitor . . .they see it, I don't . . .I prefer it that way . . .:D One night Brody was just staring into the kitchen from the den and I watched him . . .he was looking up, down, left, right, like whatever he saw was moving . . .it was pretty freaky . . .and I looked to see if I could see anything, but I didn't . . .so I just assume someone popped in to see what was going on . . . I do believe that animals can sense and see what we can't . . .:) |
I agree. I do believe that the can see things we can't. Their senses are so much better than ours. |
If you do a search on YT you will find all kinds of threads about your pups seeing ghosts! I totally believe that pets can pick up on paranormal activities and do not doubt you for a minute! I am totally fanicinated and would love to hear more about what everyone in your house is seeing. As a matter of fact, I am positive that Truman was here visiting yesterday! I swear that I heard something that sounded like his whine and all 3 of mine popped their heads up and started to look in the EXACT same direction! Pebbles even followed "something" across the room to where he would always lay! Tell us more! Pretty please!!!!! :p |
OMG Jodi! I got goosebumps reading your post!:D:p |

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE:thumbup: |
I'm always a skeptic, but I also scare easily lol. Sydney did growl at nothing in a cemetery when we were walking with her. We laughed, but I couldn't help but feel the hair on the back of my neck bristle. :) |
I'm certain that Trixie can. We have a 'ghost' (I suppose) in our house. (seriously) From time to time she 'senses' something...stands en pointe and stares at it, growls, etc. I.e. Not long ago, I was woken up by 'it' in the middle of the night....something just rythmically hitting the foot of my bed. I sat up and Trixie was sitting bolt upright just staring into the corner, cocking her head from side to side. The others don't really seem to take note, but she certainly does. |
Well, all of us (myself, my two little girls (5&6), and my hubby) have had experiences! On base there was so much activity it was nuts! I mean bananas! I used to run my own home based daycare (skin babies) and the kids always stared at the landing by the hallway. I've seen so much, but I was scared for my kids. The girls had constant nightmares/night terrors, I mean the air was thick with "stuff". My boxer (tank) was terrified of going up stairs, he would howl all night! We had a cat (midnight) who ran away when we moved to another house on base due to construction... and I would hear a cat yowling (we believe a coyote got him one night...). Tank would "chase" nothing... I thought I would smell midnight... but we didn't have another kitty so to smell kitty litter was weird!!! Here at this new location I thought ok a fresh start, new furbaby, and a cute yorkie to boot! Well I noticed "the man" when we first moved in and tried to ignore the mass... even when we finally recieved our furniture, I would see "the man" still standing in the hallway. "The man" walks into the kitchen and Ares went crazy! Zooming around, I was like o.k. he's 3 month old... so normal crazy puppy behavior. Then he starts barking in "the man's" direction. Then runs behind me hiding and barking. Tank woke up and went right to the corner (in the kitchen) and growled at "the man"! I did a space clearing (salt water + claiming my space/ home) asked the man to go to the light... so we will see how that goes :) :aimeeyork |

I really think they can, both my dogs will sense something in the house, we see them watch areas as if something is moving. Harley who really never growls will sometimes lift his head and start staring at an area and just growl the meanest growl you have ever heard. its a really deep growl too and so out of his character. When he does this I always comment, he must have seen the ghost. My daughter when she was young use to tell us that a man would stand in her door way and watch her at night sometimes. he never entered her room but would stand there and would wave. |
