Okay how in the world did you do it? All you talented people that have the moving avatars, I really would love to know the secret here. I don't have photo shop or anything but i figure there has to be another way. PLEASE let me in on the secret! I really want an avatar that changes pictures!!

most of us don't do it. Its Passionfruition (val) she does most of the fancy schamncie stuff! hehe. send her a PM, i'm sure she'll do it for you!

Passionfruit makes them, well most of them. She is very talented at doing this, and she is very wonderful person for making all of these.

I make my animated stuff w/ Adobe Photoshop and ImageReady. I'm not sure if you are wanting to try your hand at it yourself or have someone make one for you.. but these two websites have good tutorials on how to make them yourself. :thumbup:

Boy do I need some tutorials. Have any of you noticed how little bitty my avatar is??? You need a magnifying glass just to see it. Mystify-do these websites tell you how to reduce the size of your pic, but keep the subject big enough to see? I also want to learn how to do the animated ones. I'm gonna have to get my 14 year old to teach me....LOL

I've yet to find a good way to reduce the size of the pic and keep the subject clear. My only advice on that is to crop it as tightly as possible around the subject and then resize the cropped portion. I typically try to take pictures as zoomed into the subject as possible so when I resize it the subject doesn't disappear.

Good advice....I better get the camera out when I get home! Watch out guys, you may actually be able to SEE my avatar tomorrow!

I just love them, I need to know more about this computer
in order to get that to work. Everytime, I know what I'm doing,
my son comes up with 'there's a upgrade out', so Best Buy here we come,
and by the time it's set up, I'm lost! Good thing I have five kids, they
all have computers in their rooms. Now even the school love's it when I upgrade,
I donate all the old computers, and end up here stuck having NO idea what I'm doing! :confused:
