Joey and Tank both sleep in a kennel next to my side of the bed. Tank prefers his kennel. Joey isn't the biggest fan, but he gets to deal with it because when he sleeps in bed with us, he moves all over the place all night...not good for getting much sleep. We do typically give them time in bed with us before we go to sleep at night, so they get mommy and daddy cuddle time. |
My 4 furgirls all sleep with me in a king size bed. They rotate around all night sharing turns on my pillow, by my chest, knees and feet. I love it and so do they. |
chester has slept with me since he was 8 wks old, he is under the covers behind or between my legs or on top, I dont know how 9 lb can generate heat but he does, right now he is in his bed snoring |
Alfie progressed from being in his crate in the lounge to being in his crate in our bedroom and then this morning when I was getting ready and hubby was still in bed, they had a cuddle. It wont be long before Alfie is snuggled up with us, as soon as he is potty trained he can sleep in his bed out of his crate. |
I started Oliver off in a crate beside my bed, and he HATED it.. I'd be lucky to get 7 hours sleep a night, and many nights/mornings he'd freak out and cry to get out. Once I knew he was potty trained, I let him sleep with me. He makes the rounds on the bed, usually starts off by my feet and then as he gets cold he'll come cuddle up to my back. Usually by morning he's right beside me. I LOVE it, I've never had a dog who would sleep with me. He even stays in bed in the mornings for a good half hour while I go get ready, he just lays where I sleep and goes back to sleep! It's great! Now when I say "are you ready for bed, Ollie?" his tail wags and he comes right to me to lift him up. My only worry is my new bed is really high, he's only fallen off once in a few months so hopefully he's learned not to roll of the edge.. lol.. I have pillows all around the sides on the floor just in case. |
Chico is 3 1/2 years old and sleep next to me and when he gets too warm he sleeps close to my feet. |
AWWWWWWW I'm jealous. Wish my new yorkie would sleep next to me. But he acts like I'm going to do something mean to him. He sleeps at the bottom of the bed. How can I get him to be a snuggle bunny? Dianne |
My little girl "Pistol" sleeps under the covers right at my stomach. When she was potty training, she stayed in a crate, which worked great!:D |
Lex is all over the map when it comes to sleep arrangements. Sometimes she likes to sleep with Lucy (Golden Retriever) on the floor, sometimes she'll stay on the couch. But most of the time she likes to sleep with me, under the covers. |
Jackson sleeps in bed with me every night. He has a little circular dog bed at the end of my bed he curls up in. |
Meg sleeps in our bed with us. She used to sleep on top of my pillow with me. Some mornings I'd wake up with her tummy to the top of my head and her little legs hanging down by my ears. It was SOOO cute. Now she has decided that she's a bonafide Daddy's Girl and sleeps curled up by him. I hardly ever get any snuggling anymore! |
Hope you don't all mind me asking but by having your furbabies in bed with you doesn't it make them too attached? Its just that Alfie is starting to yap when he is put in his crate and I have to leave the room. He sleeps in his crate in our bedroom and doesn't whine to get out, he seems happy to just have us near but when we are downstairs and say I need to throw the rubbish out and pop him in his crate he just yaps and I'm really worried about when the day comes that I will actually have to leave the hours for a few hours lol. I havent been out without him yet, only had him just coming up to 3 weeks. |
