Puppy mill? I am so upset bc I was looking at Daisy's micro chip and I need to change the address bc I have moved and I came across where she was from and I typed in the name and horrible things came up about royale Kennel in whitting ks . I always thought Daisy came from a puppy mill since my daughter bought her at a pet store. We were not very dog smart back then and bc of it we ended up with a very sick puppy for the first 2 years of Daisy's life. Many vet bills later, and many sleepless nights we fought for Daisy's life and Thank God Daisy is going to be 6 this feb. I can't believe that people actually can treat animals this way. I read that they had over 1038 dogs on ther puppy farm and only 4 attendents. omg! No wonder when we got Daisy as a puppy she would let you pet her. It took me many months to gain her trust. To think my poor Daisy has gone through hell her first few months of her life. It makes me sick! I also read that they move around so that they can't be caught and they make over 500,000 a year and they used karesone heaters bc they don't pay there electric bill and they had a fire and lost over 135 dogs. I found this so upsetting! I hope it isn't true but from the research online, that is what I got. I would love to know if there is something I can do, I hope they are out of business!! |
I hear yah! I wish all pet shops could be closed down! Daisy is in a loving home now were she belongs. It is so sad the enviroments those poor dogs have to live in. Most whelp with no care at all, not even someone to check on them. If they don't produce to make them money, they get rid of them! It is awful! Just be thankful you have her and she is in a loving home! |

I didnt know much about breeders and puppy mills and stuff until after I got Callie and found out about this site. We found this guy online who had yorkie puppies and he meet us at a Micky D's and put all his female yorkie puppies in a pin so I could pick the one I wanted and I did, well after finding out about puppy mills I searched who it says was her breeder and found out it was an Amish puppy mill. But even though Callie had some problems in the begianing and does have Luxating Patella, skin allergies, and mild collapsing trachea I'm glad I got Callie because what if someone got her who didnt care enough to take care of her health problems and let her suffer or just put her down. I have really bad depression and Callie has been the only thing to keep me going sometimes. Now I know if I were to get another yorkie the right way to go about it but I would never trade Callie for anything. |

Royale Kennels is one of the worst puppy mills. They made Pet Store Cruelty's Hall of Shame. Hall of Shame A 2004 USDA inspection revealed that they housed 1,086 dogs. Their business profile claims a staff of only 4 people. Can you imagine the filth? :thumbdown Royale Kennel - Whiting, Kansas (KS) | Company Profile These are some of the complaints against the petstores from puppies purchased from Opal & Richard Featherstone/Royale Kennels: http://www.petshoppuppies.com/report.asp?ID=48B0249 http://www.petshoppuppies.com/report...D=PETSHOP11170 You can't go back and redo the decision you made six years ago, so don't beat yourself up about it. But please, please, help educate people that pet store puppies come from puppy mills. In spite of all the coverage in the media (even Oprah did a show on puppymills), too many people still don't know the truth. |
