Adult dog food I was wondering when is the age I should switch my puppy to adult dog food. I was told 7 months and I was told by someone else 9 months. When she does switch to adult dog food, should I keep her on the same brand? Which is a good brand on dog food? Thanks, |
People generally switch to adult food between 6 to 10 months. There's no official age when you should switch to adult food and a couple less or extra months on puppy food definitely won't hurt anything. What are you feeding now? It is fine to continue feeding the same brand, if that's what you've been happy with, or you an change to another brand if you want. Check out Dog Food Analysis - Reviews of kibble for a bit of helpful information. Generally, any food 5* or 6* rated is a great choice. |
I feed my yorkies CANIDAE and I LOVE it. I switched Lucy over to adult food as soon as I got her at 10 weeks..... however the food I feed them is for all stages.... so I guess it isn't really "adults only" food ;) hehe I really really reccomend Canidae though.... it can be hard to find, but my vet said it is all natural and really good for them! |
I just checked out that food rating website that the other YT member posted and Canidae scored a 5..... it really is great :) My babies love it. |
