Question for those who live in or near Tulsa, Oklahoma or been there, and know the city. Hubby and son are going to Tulsa for a week in January to the Chili bowl race. Hubby says he wants to go have a "real country breakfast". Any of you have some recommendations? Thanks:D |

well if it were closer, yall could come to my house and Id make ya one! But Im about 3-4hours away. Try BonBon, I think she lives in Tulsa or thereabouts. Personally, I love me some Cracker Barrel! |
great Idea...Calling Bonnie!!!!!!!!!!! |
I believe the Chili Bowl is held at the raceway near the fairgrounds, 21st and Yale. The Village Inn has always had a reputation for a good breakfast (waffles, omelets, made to order) and would be within a couple of miles of the race (So. Harvard location). Thanks, I'll give him this name. Appreciate it. |
There's a little diner called Tally's at 11th & Yale. I think the Chili Bowl is at the Fairgrounds at 21st & Yale, so that would be really convenient. Here's the link Tally's Cafe - Good Food, Daily Specials - Menu - Tulsa, OK. Betty Ann's is at 46th & Memorial (north of 46th on Memorial). Another place is Duffy's and they have a few locations around town. Cracker Barrel is at 31st & Memorial, so it wouldn't be too far. I don't know if he'd want that since it's a chain but they have great food. I'll see if I can think of any more places. Man, this is making me HUNGRY! :p |

There are also two 'hole in the wall' place in Jenks (where I live) that are really good. One has an old clock collection that's pretty neat. I can give you directions if he wants to try one of these places. |
Yay! I don't have any suggestions but I just wanted to say I hope you enjoy your stay in Oklahoma! :) |
