Do Bully Sticks go bad? I bought bully sticks for Bailey and he is taking forever to chew one. He has been on the same one for weeks now and barely a dent. He doesn't seem to be as crazy for them as he does his porkhide twist, and I'm diappointed because the BS is better for him. Maybe he is a slow chewer, because even with the porkhide he barely makes a dent, he just chews and chews and hardly gets anywhere with both the pork and the bully! So do these products go bad? |

I've never had any issues with them going bad. I've seen some people recommend to wash off the chewed sections and refrigerate between chew times but I've never bothered. He's such a little guy I'm not a bit surprised that it takes him so long to chew one. I'm jealous - they don't last long around here and they're expensive! :p |

Thanks so much for the response! I have put the rest of the bully sticks in the fridge, They well probably be there years at the rate Bailey is going now. I brought some over to my bf's dogs, the Jackabee couldn't care less for them, but his other dog, a bigger mutt, wolfed it down in no time flat! Yes, I think Bailey just has a tiny mouth and I need a smaller chew:) Hugs to adorable Apple and sweet little Buzz! |
