I'm looking for a good jacket for Bandit and Nala. The ones we have now are fabric on the outside so they get wet when it snows, and aren't the warmest. I'd really like one with a hood and fleecy lining to keep them warm...Bandit has no body fat so he's always cold!!

Suggestions??!!:confused:

I have bought several different jacket with the slick fabric on the outside to keep water out at Wal-Mart. I know it's not the best store, but they sure do have inexpensive dog clothing :)

I second the Walmart recommendation. They've actually had a good selection lately and I've seen a few that might work for you. Not sure about the stores near you, but you you have a Big Lots? I've seen some great warm but nylon coats that would do well for the snow. (I also picked up a nylon jumpsuit there which is awesome for Winston since it keeps him dry! Its just nylon though, so it needs a sweater or sweatshirt underneath for warmth.) I've also seen some great thick nylon coats at petsmart as well.

eBay :)

Just type dog jacket or dog fleece jacket or dog fur jacket etc and a bunch comes up. I always view from low price - highest price and look for the cheapest deals :)

I'm going to "third" the Wal-Mart recommendation (and I can't stand that company, my husband worked for them years ago), I just got Galahad a new little coat there a few days ago, as the one we had was not working for the wet weather. I got a cute little tan one with a fur-rimmed hood that snaps on and off. The outside of the jacket is that slick material, the inside is fleece-like. It's warm but not overly bulky, so he has no trouble moving freely in it. The price tag? A whole whopping $9. :D

Here's Sophie in her winter jacket. It's a cotton/polyester material but doesn't get wet, has a fleece lining and is very easy to get on and off quickly. I got it at Petco. It has velcro closures but it doesn't stick to her coat. It has a little leather bone on the lower back. We both like it!

THanks! I'll def be looking when I go home for christmas. The wal-mart here isn't that great. It's been so cold the last few days we've only been outside for bathroom breaks anyway.

I got realllllly cute down filled jackets with fur hoods for $16.00 at Petco-- they are sSOOOOOOO cute! and they are pretty warm and they have lots of cute colors to choose from :)
