Honda designs car for dogs owners Check this out... Honda has a concept car that caters to the devoted dog owner... http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051005/...onda_pooch_car |
GREAT IDEA!!! I hope they change thier mind and make it a reality instead of just a concept car. However, thinking postivly, that is how most cars are made... by concept! :) |
haha what will they think of next |
Larger photo here: http://news.yahoo.com/photo/051005/4...YzBHNlYwN0bXA- Bad idea for the dog to be in the glove box area. Assuming it gets the green light to become a production vehicle, it will NEVER have the dog in the glove box area because US government standards require both driver and passenger airbags. Not only that, but ASSUMING that the dog was in the glove box area...if you think cell phones are distracting...how about your dog in the glove box? (This is one reason why TVs are not allowed in the dashboard from the OEMs. Only in the roof area, just slightly behind the driver's view...so it will not distract him). What if the vehicle is involved in a serious accident where the doors are pinned to the body and there is a fire? How would you rescue your dog from what is essentially your dashboard? |
What will they come up with next! I would NEVER put Princess in a glove box !!!! |
DOMLEE, I AGREE 150% with you, VERY BAD DESIGN ! We always ride our 2 girls in the backseat safely secured to my grandaughters old carseat. We keep an eye on them with the special rearview mirror attached to the visor bought at the baby department. I hate seeing pets running loose in vehicles, on peoples laps, or hanging out the windows. Thats an Accident to Happen !! |
WOW - amazing to see how the minds are ticking these days. I'm not thrilled about the "doggie in the glove box" idea but a secured carrier in the backseat seems fine. However, don't most of us already use a secured carrier in the backseat already??? |
