Keeping yorkie warm at night.. So Peanut has like a million beds in the house.. He new "favorite" one of the week is a little one I got at CVS.. Well He has 2 blankets in there I cover him up before we go to sleep and during the night if I wake up I check on him and he is usually out of the blankets and I will pick him up and his poor little ears are cold!!! We dont put the heater on at night bc I am hot blooded haha I get really hot at night, I am perfect with 2 blankets and no heater.. How do you guys keep your babies warm at night? Do you put jammies or sweaters/shirts on them?? I might have to turn the heater on.. I dont want him to freeze!! He LOVES to be sunggled and under the blankets.. I was thinking of getting him one of those bed that they dog can go under?? Do you guys know where they have those??? |
Layla wears pjs at night because it gets really cold here. She also has a bed that i plug in and heats up- you might want to look into something like that. |
Evening time I put pj's on all of mine, they were them to bed. |
Lilee also wears jammies and has blankets, but I got some great advice by a YT member Spritwings1202. She told me about the SnuggleSafe so I went out and bought one, found it at Pet Club here in CA. You warm it up in the microwave and it keeps the heat for up to 8 hours. It also comes with a fleece cover and I put it under Lilee's bed. It's keeps her nice and toasty although she often ends up cuddled with me :D |
I started Roxy with a Snuggie. I thought it was cute! By the 3rd night she was bringing it to us to put on her. She doesn't want to sleep without it. As she got more used to it (& probably wiggled around more), she'd end up losing it in the night. Will have to remodel it somehow. In the meantime, found some sales this week & added a few fleece items for her to wear at night. She loves them. One day I found a cute t-shirt said 'Daddy's little girl'. Put that on her one day. Now she wants t-shirts on in the daytime. It wasn't my plan to get into the all the clothes thing, but I think she's more comfortable now that it's cold outside. Covering her with a blanket would work as long as she didn't move around much or get up. I know she liked it though, as each time I would cover her she would just wiggle a little & tuck her head under the blanket. I could just her squeak out, 'Ohhh thank you, that feels soooo good'. lol |
mine have heated beds also |
hmm do you guys have any websites for the heated beds?? I have one of those ice/heat packs too I can heat it in the microwave and put it in his bed.. I dont know how long it would stay warm for.. |
Piper sleeps with me under the covers. She hates the cold. As soon as we get into bed she burrows under the blankets and she doesn't come out until the alarm goes off in the morning. |
I have night gowns for Callie and she prefers sleeping in her soft sided dog house(insted of on a bed) I got on ebay that holds a warm temp really nice and keeps my ceiling fan from blowing on her and there are two blankets I keep in there that she snuggles into and i cover half of the hole in the front of the house with a folded blanket that she can just knock out of the way when she wants to come out. |
Before Missy started sleeping with me, I would give her a hot water bottle (but not too hot!). Now both my girls sleep with me and wear their jammies. |
