My name is Nellie and I am new to YT. I am a proud mommy of a 6 month old Yorkie. I am so in love with my baby, but when we first got him it was very tough. My boyfriend got him in a pet store biggest mistake ever!! When we brought him home he wasn't doing all that good, he had a bad cough. The store were we purchased him had their vet we took Rocky there and the Vet said it was a cold. I had a weird feeling, but i gave him the meds the vet prescribed. A week later Rocky took a turn for the worse and we took him to the ASPCA animal hospital. The doctor said they had to keep rocky, apparently he had pneumonia not a cold:cry:. At that time Rocky was only 3 months old. I felt so bad my poor baby going through all of this. They kept him for 2 days and the vet bill was over $3000.00. I called the pet store very frustrated asking them how can they sell poor sick animals and that they better help me pay the bills. I only had rocky for 2 weeks and he almost died. Apparently they said they are not reimbursing me with anything and that they don't have anything to do with that. When we got Rocky back he was on 3 different medicine and a neubelizer. I did everything the vet told me and after a month Rocky got better :). But now i was stuck with a 3,000 bill. Now Rocky is 6 months and he has on again off again problems. I am so upset because this innocent puppy shouldn't be going through this, but i love my baby and i am not giving him up.

I'm sorry Rocky got off to a troubled start but glad he's feeling better. You've come to the right place for all kinds of helpful information. There are lots of knowledgeable members here including reputable breeders who can be helpful to you I'm sure. Post a photo of Rocky when you can. We would love to see your little guy :).

And if I were you I'd call the Better Business Bureau on that pet store and possibly file a small claims against them. It's time to put these puppy mill supporting jerks out of business >_>
