How'd U Get Your Pup Used to it? So I finally got a Kwigy-Bo Alex! I'm so excited and happy with it. I knew it would take some time for Cohen to get used to it, so I have left it open on the floor hoping that he would get inside and snuggle up eventually. It's been several days and--nothing. He has gone up to it a many times and put his head down in it like he is inspecting it, but doesn't want to get in. And if I try to put him in it, he fusses and jumps out. I don't want to rush him because I want him to think of getting to go out with mommy in the bag is a fun and enjoyable experience. So how did you get your baby used to a bag?? |
I always just put a pup in the bag, talking gently , a couple of toys and a treat and lankie to lie on and all went well, that was always with yorkies. I have a chi now and she is really good but can tell when we are in the car or taxi or sitting down and a coach carrier I have (faux0 has an opening and she will climb out. My little devil. I am going to get the Louis Vitton carrier that zips completely for her and 1 for my yorkie baby that I am getting in February. Here is the link. They have wonderful replica bags. I am not familiar with the bag you described.replica celebrity handbags, juicy couture pet carrier |
I started 4 of mine when I brought them home from the breeder. Also when i would take short trips to the store. Now when I take a bag out it is hysterical to see all 4 trying to squeeze into one bag. I did have an older yorkie who was 4 when I introduced him to a carry bag. All I did was put him in (started with one that was open on top so he could stick his head out) and just walked around the house and yard. Also kept telling him what a good boy he was and he loved it. I think if they know they are going to be with you and they trust you they enjoy it as much as you do:) |
Thanks for the advice. I want to go somewhere on a short trip to the store to see if he can handle it. I will praise him often. I'm just worried about where I should try it out because if he does freak out, I don't want to be at a store where they will care so much. |
