yorkie puppy question im thinking about buying a new puppy. i went to look at them today and the puppies they had were solid black with the tan markings above the eyes, muzzle, chest and all four legs, but there weren't any tan marking underneath the tail. is that common, the puppies were 6 weeks old. the moms ears weren't up like they should be, but the dads were. Plus the dad had an overbite is that. is it worth buying one for $850? thanks in advance |
I'm not sure but I'll bump this for you and hopefully someone else will post ;) |
hmm, my coco has the exact same markings, and i think he is adorable!!!! as far as the overbite goes i believe that it can be passed on, trust your instinct, if you have mixed feelings about this breeder or the baby, then i would follow what your gutt tells ya. :) |
I also should have added, My adult yorkies Bentley and Bitsy do not have an overbite, however, out of their litter of six puppies, one of the pups did, even though Bentley and Bitsy did not. How old will your pup be when you get him? I'm not sure but the vet may be able to tell by 12 weeks or so. |
If you are planning to breed, than that won't do, But he he/she will just be a pet. Then no tan under the tail isn't a big deal. Even the overbite isn't bad if its very slight. An overbite/underbite can cause major problems (not being able to eat) but if its slight and you love him/her then what the heck.. I don't think $850 is a lot to pay for a yorkie. But this is just my opinion! |
Hmmmmmmmmmm, The markings sound Ok if your not going to show or breed. The overbite, I'm not sure about. I'm sure we have some great answers on this site. We all fall in love with Yorkies, when you are getting a new baby, go with your gut, trust your instincts, because I'm sure there is a baby out there for you. When I found Princess, She told me she was the one. Good Luck! Let us know when you find your new baby! :) |
