Hi Kim...I'm sorry to hear about Chester...I hope you find him soon and that he's o.k! My Rosie chewed a neat little door through our temporary fence a few years ago and went missing. She was about 4 pounds and a beauty...I thought sure I'd never see her again. I talked to the radio station, t.v. station, city workers in the area, neighbors and anyone I thought might be able to help. The radio station put out a special bulletin for her on every commercial break...it helped that they were also Yorkie owners so they had a soft spot to begin with but hey, anything to help. I even did something I thought I would never do...I consulted a pet phsycic (sp?). The next day a lady contacted me and said she thought she had my Rosie so she came over and it was indeed my Rosie. I was elated! I hope you have the same results as we did...you and Chester are in my thoughts and prayers tonight. |

Oh my gosh Kim, I am so sorry to hear that maybe if you offer a reward on the signs he will show up you know how people are about getting a reward! |
OMG! I just found this! You've got to just be sick with worry! I'm praying for you AND for your baby's safety. Keep us updated and I hope to God you find him soon! There are too many bad things in the world that could happen to him, but do your best to be positive. We're praying for you and for Chester *HUGS* |
I hope and pray that Chester comes home. I feel in my heart that someone has him and they are just waiting for the ad to come out. Good luck.. Joy |
Thank you everyone. This is why I love YT so much. It doesn't help that my mom has called and lectured me. I told her I had enough guilt and didn't need her adding to it. Thank you all for your support. :( |

No chewing out from these people, just heart-felt concern. We understand how hard this is and will pray some mighty big prayers for you and the safe return of the baby.. |
Darn it! I had to work in the yard this evening and as soon as I could I came in to see if you had him back. I'm saying my "Chester Prayers" so he'll be back safe with his mommy. Don't blame yourself. Just hit up everyone you can think of to help you find him and ask a lot of questions. I know you have some good connections that can help you do that. :) |
I am soo sorry, i hope your baby will be found, i know how i would feel ! :( |
I am soooo very very sorry to hear about Chester. When (I SAID WHEN) you get him back, and anyone else who is worried about the same thing happening - you might want to do what we did with our fence. It's not the prettiest, but it's pretty secure. We had a Jack Russell who was a DIGGER - big time - he dug out several times. We got some very inexpensive chicken wire (wire with little stop sign-looking holes in it) about 4 or 5 foot high and 50 foot long and we cut it in half, lengthwise, so it was about 2 or 2 1/2 foot high and we then had 100 feet of it (I think it cost about $13.00 for that 100 feet). Then we placed 1/2 of it flat on the ground in front of the fence and made a 90 degree turn and placed the other 1/2 of it up the fence and we did that for 100 feet around the fence. We actually had to use 3 rolls before we got all the fence covered. We used tent stakes to stake it to the ground in front of the fence and we nailed it to the wood fence and wired it to the chain link fence (we have both in our yard). This creates a barrier that they can't dig under - at least the Jack Russell didn't even attempt after the first time or two - because when they try to dig at the fence, they are digging on the wire - so he stopped. The part that is not real attractive is that the grass grows up between the fence and the wire (it's only about a foot up on the fence) and you can't weedeat it all away. Eventually you can't see the wire on the ground, the grass grows up through it. But you can see the grass behind the wire on the fence - but we didn't care - we were only concerned with keeping our Jack in the yard, which it did. We no longer have the Jack, but now I don't worry about Rowdy digging out. Again Kim, I am soo very sorry to hear about Chester. I just know you will get him back. :) |
Ohhhh, I hope you find him! I'm so sorry! I know how well you take care of your babies and it was an accident! I hope someone in the neighborhood found him and just locked him up until they could get home and get him back to you! |
