Does your Yorkie like clothes? I ask this for the reason that Im not sure my Milly does. I mean, sure its very cute for us looking at our yorkies all dressed up in trendy outfits but if I knew for a minute it was severely uncomfortable for her I would refrain from putting another piece of clothing on her again. The reason for my suspicion is that she sometimes rubs herself against objects when she has outfits on, suggesting that they are making her itch and generally being uncomfortable in them. However, other times she will pick the outfits up with her mouth and run up to me wagging her tail with it as if to tell me, ''quick get it on me!'' I'm pretty confused. |
Galahad seems to like the few things we have for him just fine. He's not fond of his coat, he tries to chew on it, lol. He likes his two sweaters though, and he sleeps better if he's wearing one of them, so we bought him a pair of jammies. We'll see how much he likes those when they arrive. |
sometimes I think its a... better of two evils. Winston often gets cold - so he does wear things like t shirts and sweaters when its chilly out. He is pretty used to it now, but he will roll around frantically sometimes when he gets itchy and well its hard to itch through a sweater. He hates having them go on, but all in all he's happier with them (warm) then without (chilly). |
I don't know if they "like" clothes, but none of my Yorkies act irritated by wearing them. They don't act phased in the slightest.:) Putting clothes on a puppy or an adult for the first time will take some adjusting, that's for sure. Puppies wearing clothes for the first time remind me of those fainting goats lol. |
Surprisingly Wookie took to his sweater quickly. Maybe because he liked feeling nice and warm. He enjoys sleeping in it :) |
Couver seems to be okay with his clothes. I do not think he is aware of them anymore. Because it's been so cold here lately, he's been wearing clothes everyday, so it's nothing different to him now. I usually make sure to take the clothes off at night (he sleeps next to me) so he can get a break. |
My little guy took to his sweater immediately. He even seems to help me get it on him, but it does get cold here. As for clothes, like dresses and stuff? When you think about it they are more for the owner than for the dog, and it says more about the owner than the dog. I really don't understand why someone would want to dress up an already beautiful dog. |
Rio doesn't mind clothes - she just doesn't like hoods or hats. My main problem is she has a long coat, so her hair tends to mat very easily when she wears clothes. So most of the time, she is "naked!" |

Funny you should ask that. My sister gave me some dog clothes she picked up at an expo sale. One was a hooded sweater that is too long for Gypsy. So I tried putting it on the Boston Terrier. Sophie would have none of it, but Gypsy had her paws on my leg waiting for me to quit. As soon as I put Sophie down Gypsy was in my lap tugging on the sweater. So of course I had to put it on her. She even once brought me a dress I laid on the couch to put on her. |

I love how she looks in tshirts and coats. I don't like how dresses look on her. I don't think she cares for dresses either. |
Chester likes clothes. He helps me by lifting up his paw to get in the arm holes. :D No hats though, he does no like those. He is a pretty good sport! |
Laci seems to like them alot, if I get my coat she will hop and hop for hers to go on... she is really pretty adjustable!! I honestly think because I have a 14 year old teenager who LOVES to dress her up and Laci just Lets her.. Laci is pretty easy going..;) |
Bailey does the same thing, she will bring her clothes over to me to be dressed, and whenever I pull out a dress or shirt to put on her she starts freaking out with excitement I think the reason for this is because most of the time when she gets pretty clothes on it means she gets to go out somewhere so she associates the two together. Layla is my new little girl and she is a little BRAT when it comes to getting clothes on her but once there on she forgets about it. |
Lacey loves to get dressed. Her coat is long so I only dress her when we are going out. She knows that she is going bye-bye when she gets dressed. When I tell her let's go bye-bye she will run and stand by her dresser and wait for me to dress her. |
