 Mardelin:
Well, it helps I train dogs. My 171 pounder was gentle as a lamb. And my GSD has all his training certifications (CGC, SAR, etc) as well as being super socialized (he goes to the hospital with me to visit my Mom, goes in stores with me, the lot...) he knows when he is in his vest he is WORKING. He also knows that the baby, is well, a BABY. and he is unbelievably gentle with him, even if Fergus is a bit of a terror still (we are still working with him...he has been a challenge! more will than most dogs I have met). Because of 20+ years of dog rescue work, and my SAR work, I feel pretty confident I can keep the peace in nearly any situation.

Its a shame you had such a bad experience with that wolfhound. Unfortunately when I was showing I had more than my share of encounters with incredibly badly behaved show dogs. Put me off showing for good (I used to breed Maltese).
